#GrabaSpoon with Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt & Keri Glassman #spon

Summer is here, which means that my family and I will spend a lot more time being active outside – playing in our backyard, swimming and visiting local parks! I also think it’s the best time to get back into the groove of leading a healthy lifestyle. The winter always gets me off track but with summer, it’s easy as long as you have the right tools!

One of the right tools for my healthy lifestyle this summer will be grabbing a spoon and eating Dannon Oikos Yogurt, a creamy-thick nonfat yogurt, made through a traditional Greek straining process which makes it an excellent source of protein2. Each cup of Dannon Oikos® contains twice the amount of protein of regular lowfat yogurt and 0% fat (with the exception of Dannon Traditional varieties).

Right now, I don’t eat breakfast so this is going to be a personal challenge of mine! I can’t wait to start!

Keri Glassman and Dannon Oikos have teamed up and are encouraging you to ‘Grab a Spoon ‘til June’ with rich and creamy 0% fat Dannon Oikos® Greek nonfat yogurt to help you stay on track this summer and add a little something different to your normal routine! This great campaign will also tell you how to achieve a balanced diet; provide exercise ideas and motivational messages to keep one on track, nutritious recipes and more! Make sure to visit OikosYogurt.com so you don’t miss out on anything!

–       Every Meal Is A “Monday Morning”. Focus on eating better, one meal at a time. Otherwise it can be easy to get discouraged – forget the worry! Your only mission: Make the next meal you eat nutritious, balanced and satisfying.

–       Don’t Eat Around A Craving. Honor your craving with a conscious indulgence – take a few deep breaths and find a healthy alternative! Try satisfying your sweet tooth with Dannon Oikos® Greek nonfat yogurt, it is nutritious but still has an incredible taste.

–       No-Excuses Exercise. Sometimes the biggest barrier to working out is just getting there so a good option can be to make it as easy as possible—throw in a workout DVD or even going for a walk takes away excuses and gets you moving!

–       Satisfying Proteins. A moderate-protein balanced diet with a reasonable amount of fiber, carbohydrates and the appropriate amount of healthy fats is the best way to maintain a healthy weight. Dairy is a great source of protein, try a creamy Greek nonfat yogurt like Dannon Oikos®–it has twice the protein of regular lowfat yogurt2.

Oikos Greek Nonfat yogurt: 12 -14g Protein (24%DV), Regular lowfat yogurt: 5g protein (10%DV) per 5.3oz.

These are great tips! You can also follow along on Facebook for more tips and coupons.

This summer I’m really going to make sure that my family and I are getting active! Taking a walk after dinner, playing in the parks and discovering new trails! And when I am craving a sweet treat, I’m definitely going to grab a Dannon Oikos® Greek nonfat yogurt! I have even read about substituting it when you bake – I can’t wait to try that!

I have partnered with Dannon to help promote the Dannon Oikos Greek Grab a Spoon campaign.  I have been compensated for my time commitment to the program, which includes writing about the promotion and product.  However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.

I’ve been shaking up my diet for the past 18 months and have lost 70lbs. I stick with the food guide and make sure I eat the right amount and proper kinds of calories. And fruit has become my favorite food.

I plan to start drinking more water to lose the cellulite and also use my treadmill . I have it in the basement but I don’t use it at all!!

I’ve been pretty sick lately and, as a result, I have fallen way off of the healthy diet wagon. For a while I was doing really well laying off of the carbs/sweets and eating lots of veggies (mainly salads with beans for protein, and olive oil and/or lemon juice in place of dressing).
Hoping to get back to healthy eating soon!
