How to Rent a Rug Doctor

How often do you clean your carpet? Once a month or maybe a  few times a year? It used to be that we rarely cleaned our carpet and would just vacuum a bit and then think it was clean. However, after learning the following facts we are cleaning our carpets a lot more often!

A carpet that appears clean can hide as much as a pound of dirt per square yard.

The carpet in your home could be seven times dirtier than a city street.

2,000 dust mites can live on one ounce of carpet dust.

The five-second rule is a myth: bacteria can live after four weeks on the carpet.

80 percent of the dirt in your house walks in through the door on people’s feet.

Yuck, right? You might be like me thinking you want to hurry out and clean your carpet RIGHT NOW and with the Rug Doctor, you can!

Rug Doctor rental machines are found in over 30,000 grocery, drug, hardware and home center stores in the United States. You can rent them for a 24 hour period or longer and make sure to take advantage of the Rug Doctor! You can use it to clean your carpets, couches and carpets in your cars. You’ll also be happy to know that each Rug Doctor machine in a retail location is 100% maintained and cleaned by Rug Doctor!

Renting a Rug Doctor machine is easy! To find one near you, check out the store locator. You’ll also be able to print great money-saving coupons! Prices vary but Rug Doctor machines rent for around $25 for Mighty Pack and around $30 for Wide Track.

I was excited to see this Rug Doctor Rental Kiosk at my local Walmart. It makes renting a Rug Doctor even easier!

It’s a touch screen and you can go through all the steps of renting the machine and buying the cleaning products that you need! You can pay by cash or credit card.

I love that the Rug Doctor machine guides you into what cleaning products you would need for what you are cleaning.

  3. I cant tell you how many times I have thought about renting one, but wasnt sure how it all worked or how to lug it home by myself. Thank you for the great tips.

  4. Those rug doctor dispensers are pretty neat! I have never seen them before.

  5. I love the step-by-step instructions. Makes it a lot less intimidating for me to try renting one now. Thank you!

  6. We used them when we had carpet in our home. What a difference it makes when you’re done cleaning.

  7. We haven’t had to rent one in a long time because we own our own rug cleaner now. We have to clean our carpets at least once a week due to an old dog that doesn’t always make it outside. They are easy to rent, though and look a ton easier now that there’s a kiosk for them!

  8. Ewww… all those dirty carpet facts makes me want to go rent a Rug Doctor right away! My carpets could definitely use some TLC. I love that touch screen service too!

  9. We haven’t ever rented one but I’m going to soon. I used a cleaner that my grandma had and really wasn’t impressed. I’m hoping that Rug Doctor could help our poor carpets!

  10. Hi,
I have a pillow top mattress but the “pillow” is memory foam. Can I use the Rug Doctor on the memory foam? Their website is a little vague. It says you cannot use it on your mattress or mattress with memory foam, feathers, or down. But, then goes on to state that you can use their upholstery attachments and cleaner with antifoam. Thanks

  11. Good day! I just wish to give a huge thumbs up for the great data you’ve got here on this post.
I might be coming again to your weblog for extra soon.

  12. I rarely comment, but i did some searching and wound up here How
to Rent a Rug Doctor – Sippy Cup Mom. And I actually do have a couple of questions for you if you don’t mind. Is it only me or does it look as if like a few of the responses look like left by brain dead people? :-P And, if you are writing at additional places, I would like to follow anything fresh you have to post. Could you make a list of every one of all your community sites like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
