How to Rent a Rug Doctor

How often do you clean your carpet? Once a month or maybe a  few times a year? It used to be that we rarely cleaned our carpet and would just vacuum a bit and then think it was clean. However, after learning the following facts we are cleaning our carpets a lot more often!

A carpet that appears clean can hide as much as a pound of dirt per square yard.

The carpet in your home could be seven times dirtier than a city street.

2,000 dust mites can live on one ounce of carpet dust.

The five-second rule is a myth: bacteria can live after four weeks on the carpet.

80 percent of the dirt in your house walks in through the door on people’s feet.

Yuck, right? You might be like me thinking you want to hurry out and clean your carpet RIGHT NOW and with the Rug Doctor, you can!

I cant tell you how many times I have thought about renting one, but wasnt sure how it all worked or how to lug it home by myself. Thank you for the great tips.

We haven’t had to rent one in a long time because we own our own rug cleaner now. We have to clean our carpets at least once a week due to an old dog that doesn’t always make it outside. They are easy to rent, though and look a ton easier now that there’s a kiosk for them!

We haven’t ever rented one but I’m going to soon. I used a cleaner that my grandma had and really wasn’t impressed. I’m hoping that Rug Doctor could help our poor carpets!

I have a pillow top mattress but the “pillow” is memory foam. Can I use the Rug Doctor on the memory foam? Their website is a little vague. It says you cannot use it on your mattress or mattress with memory foam, feathers, or down. But, then goes on to state that you can use their upholstery attachments and cleaner with antifoam. Thanks

to Rent a Rug Doctor – Sippy Cup Mom. And I actually do have a couple of questions for you if you don’t mind. Is it only me or does it look as if like a few of the responses look like left by brain dead people? 😛 And, if you are writing at additional places, I would like to follow anything fresh you have to post. Could you make a list of every one of all your community sites like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?

I found a video on YouTube showing how to use a steam cleaner on car seats. At $25, I can clean both cars and FINALLY get rid of that gym bag smell!
Now my hubby will ride in my car…unless it’s the way I drive…Naaaaaahhhhh
