Hello, I’m back with another food review for you. Right before the holidays; I was sent 5 pints of Whole Fruit Sorbet to try. The flavors were Lemon, Black Cherry, Valencia Orange, Mango & Strawberry. Having never tried Whole Fruit Sorbet before, I was curious to see what they tasted like and if my family would approve.
I was quite surprised when I opened up the pint of Black Cherry Sorbet and could see actual chunks of cherry in it. That’s what I like to see! But the proof is in the pudding, or the sorbet, in this case! My first taste of the Black Cherry was delightful. Big, bold, flavor combined with smooth texture, makes for a winning combination.
The next flavor I tried was Mango, since it’s one of the two that was voted Best Flavors by Cooking Light Magazine! (The other is Lemon.) I can see, er, make that taste, why it was voted a winner! My, my, my, Mango is bursting with flavor; my mouth was doing a happy dance with each bite I took. Definitely a keeper and my favorite flavor.
All the flavors I tried were delicious, my little one couldn’t get enough of the Lemon flavored one. It is tart, as a lemon should be; but that didn’t keep my guy from devouring every last bit in his bowl.
I like sorbet because it is lighter than ice cream and makes a perfect snack. We enjoyed ours after dinner. Another way my kids liked it was mixed with milk , like a smoothie! Yummy! Whole Fruit Sorbet also comes in Raspberry & Peach, I’ll be looking for those two next time I visit the grocery store.
