Natural Cough and Cold Relief for Children#ZarbeesCough #MC

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consultingfor Zarbee’s Naturals. I received product samples and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

One of the worst things about being a parent is watching your little ones get sick or hurt. Even when my kids have just a cough or a cold, I feel helpless for them. There’s a few things that I always do when when of my kids get sick – run a humidifier, raise their bed a little so their head is at an angle and let them have unlimited popsicles. The one thing that drives me crazy though is when they have a cough. Last year, my son was sick several times and he had a horrible cough. I kept bringing him to the doctor who said that a cough can last up to 18 days. That just seems so long with no relief since children can’t have cough syrup. Our pediatrician then recommended trying the all-natural Zarbee’s Cough and Cold Relief for Children. When I posted on Facebook asking my Mom friends if there was anything they were using for coughs, it was a resounding YES to Zarbee’s!

Zarbee's Cough and Cold Relief

I was so excited when Zarbee’s sent me their whole line of products. With three little ones – one of them in Kindergarten – it seems like coughs and colds just cycle through our house over and over.

Like all of us parents, Dr. Zak Zarbock, who is a pediatrician and father of two boys, hated seeing his children suffer from coughs. He then set out to create an all-natural, vitamin-enhanced, safe and effective product – Zarbee’s All Natural Cough Syrup! During clinical trials, Dr. Zak discovered that dark honey was effective at calming coughs and sore throats in children. What I love is that all of the Zarbee’s products are clinically proven, have no side effects and are completely free from alcohol, gluten and artificial dyes.

I first used Zarbee’s Children’s Cough Syrup in December when Hayden had a cough for weeks and weeks. He was struggling with sleep and at school too. The cough syrup really helped him sleep at night and the honey soothes his throat so it wasn’t “scratchy” anymore. I’m so lucky that my girls haven’t had a cough yet {knock on wood!} but there is even a Baby Cough Syrup available for babies as young as 2 months old. I know I didn’t expose my son to honey until past one and this doesn’t have honey in it but natural agave nectar!

Winter is almost over {yay!} but I know there’s still a good chance of my son catching another cold. Follow these Cold ABC’s to help your child!

I love thses products and always recommend them to other parents. It’s our go to especially for night time coughs. It really helps our kids get rest when they’re sick.

I had never heard of Zarbee’s until just a couple of years ago. As soon as I heard it was an all natural remedy for kiddos, I was on board. We tried it and now don’t use anything else!

When my older girls (now in their late teens) were babies, there were all sorts of cough remedies. So when my youngest daughter, 15 years later, got her first cold I went to the pharmacy fully expecting to pick up a box of Pedia care and be on my merry way. However, to my dismay, it’s no longer recommended for children under 4. I asked the pharmacist what he recommended, and he said Zarbees. We’ve been using it ever since.

One of my friends recommended these products to me a few months ago when my daughter came down with a bad cough. I never got around to purchasing them but have heard nothing but positive feedback. I prefer using natural remedies anyways!

I’m so glad there are more natural cough relief options lik Zarbees. It can be scary dealing with a young child who can’t stop coughing – but you never know what’s in the harsh chemical meds. I’ll check these out for my youngest.

I have not seen this in stores yet, but I usually do go for a more natural approach to fighting the cold season blues. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I have never used Zarbee’s products, but they would have come in handy a couple months ago when my little one had a horrible cough! I like the graphic for when you send your child to school. Many times, sick kids need to stay home to keep their illness from spreading – but moms may not realize it!

Just heard of Zarbees last month when I was looking for a safe cough syrup for my two-year-old. I was surprised at how many cough medicines my kid CAN’T take yet! This stuff is great!

I seen this brand in the store and was wondering if it worked. Glad to hear that it does. I will be giving it a try and sharing your info with friends. This has been a long hard cold snowy winter for us!

  10. Amy Lynn Desrosiers says

I love Zarbees because my kids actually take it, and it seems to work! The other natural brands taste gross to them!

  11. says

Great tips and information about the products! I like using as natural as possible for my kiddos. I’ll have to user his coupon to order some of this!

  12. says

We haven’t tried the Zarbees kids products yet, but I have tried the Zarbees’ Seasonal Allergy Relief when they sent out samples and I am a huge fan. It’s the only thing that worked for me! I’m sure their kids products are awesome, too.

I’ve never heard of this brand before but what great timing. My niece just caught a winter cold but my sister-in-law is hesitant about using things like Children’s Tylenol because of what could possibly be in it. I’ll be letting her know about this brand!

  14. says

Wow, I’ve never heard of them, we have to give them a try. Those school germs seem to get us every time and it’s a trickle down and who’s going to get it next and when. Ugh, it just sucks.
