This Week’s Topic: Free! Link up with any toddler related post!

Since this is a free week, I’ve decided to talk about spring clothing! Here in St. Louis it actually seems like we have skipped spring, because it’s been in the 80′s! While it’s quite nice, it also means that I’ve had to run out and get Hayden his spring/summer wardrobe a little early!

I was out and about in some stores today and picked up some cute shirts! Then, I decided to see what I could find online!

I picked up the “My Mom Rocks” shirt at Kohl’s. It’s the Carters brand – I love them! They hold up so well for a toddler! The “Little Rocker” tee is also a Carter’s shirt.

The bottom two shirts are from Old Navy. I need to go get the Cardinals shirt – I love the “vintage” look! There’s a matching one for Daddy too! The striped shirt on the bottom right is only $4 right now! I am running to Old Navy tomorrow to stock up on some t-shirts for Hayden! Plus, for some reason the striped shirt totally reminds me of the 80′s! ;-)

I also like to go to Target to stock up on shirts and there’s a huge local consignment sale coming up too!

Where do you go to get your toddler’s spring/summer wardrobe?

This Week’s Topic: Fun in the Kitchen

If your toddler is like mine, they are always hanging all over you! When I’m in the kitchen trying to make a meal, he’s right there alongside me wanting to help. When he was much younger I would give him some bowls, pots and pans and a whisk and let him play away.

The older he got, the more he wanted to help so I started giving him a few more tasks. I would let him help me scoop up ingredients to pour into a bowl or help me unload the dishwasher.

A lot of times I’ll fill a bowl up with flour, add some water and let him go to town! It definitely keeps him busy while I am cooking!

Hayden is a big help when it comes to mixing. Whenever I have to bake, give him a whisk or a spoon and he will mix it up for you! He has so much fun!

Do you let your kid help in the kitchen and have fun?

This Week’s Topic: Songs that remind you of your toddler!

A song that I have been singing to Hayden since he was born is “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. He loves the movie Wizard of Oz now so whenever I hear this song I think of it!

“There Goes My Life” by Kenny Chesney makes me cry EVERY TIME I hear it and makes me think of Hayden!

Originally written by Bob Dylan, but recently released by Adele, the song “Make You Feel My Love” gets me everytime. It may have been written for a significant other, but I feel I can relate it toward both my husband and my son, because I would do anything for them.

What are songs that make you think of your toddler?

This Week’s Topic: Toddler’s Favorite Songs!

Hayden  LOVES music. He responds very well to it and his teacher uses it a lot at his school. They are constantly singing in school and he will come home with new songs. He’s always humming or singing – even at school! If I ever need him to do something, I just have to “sing it” and he will respond to it.

He’s also very picky. He will make me go through the radio stations until there is something he loves. To my husband’s dismay, he is starting to be a big country fan.

Hayden loves to listen to music and watch on our iPad and here are just a few of his favorite songs!

Hayden’s been a fan of the Potty Dance song for a few months now and I have to admit, it’s pretty catchy!

Hayden loves anything from the new Muppets movie!

He’s also big into Christmas songs! It’s February, but he still busts out some Jingle Bells or We Wish You a Merry Christmas!

What’s your toddler’s favorite songs?
