I love this time of year with my family because of all of the fun traditions we do like watching our favorite Christmas movies, driving around to see Christmas lights and decorating gingerbread houses and cookies. But most of our traditions include sweets which means that I’m almost always adding a few more pounds or eating unhealthy this time of year. Plus with this busy time of year, I’m almost always skipping breakfast and I rush around the house trying to get things done. This month though I’m taking the time to actually enjoy a delicious breakfast thanks to Premier Protein ready-to-drink shakes!
Premier Protein ready-to-drink shakes feature 30g of protein and just 160 calories! There’s 5 delicious flavors and they keep me full and energized during this busy holiday season. But I’ve also decided to slow down and enjoy my mornings by making this fun and festive Christmas Smoothie Bowl featuring vanilla Premier Protein shakes!
Christmas Smoothie Bowl
- 1 cup of yogurt (you can use plain or Greek!)
- 6 ounces of vanilla Premier Protein shake
- 3 kiwis
- Mix together the yogurt and shake. If it’s too much liquid, add a bit more yogurt.
- Cut the kiwi into slices.
- At the bottom of the bowl, add some granola to make a tree trunk. Add the sliced kiwi in a pattern to make a Christmas tree.
- Add cranberries around the edge of the bowl.
- Optional: add shredded coconut for “snow”!
This Christmas Smoothie Bowl is the perfect treat this holiday season – and even your kids will like it too!
Why a Protein Drink?
You might be thinking, why a protein drink? I’m not working out right now or lifting weights. But you need protein – it’s what helps your muscles so you can get stuff done all day. So yes, protein builds muscle but it also can satisfy you when you’re feeling hungry since it keeps you full longer. Eating the right amount of protein is a great way to lose weight or manage it!
Those calories can really sneak up on you so why not grab a Premier Protein ready-to-drink shakes? I even toss one in my purse so I can drink while running errands instead of going through a drive-thru.
You can order Premier Protein shakes online or find them in most major retailers!
