Established in Belgium, in 1930, Kalorik has become synonymous with fine engineering and unique product development. As one of Europe’s first manufacturers of small electric appliances, the company’s initial product was one of the very first electric toasters. With this well recognized achievement and a thirst for new innovation, the company established offices in the U.K., Germany, and Switzerland to further innovate and design new and exciting products.
Kalorik’s passion to create superior products isa guiding force in the company’s commitment to new trends in product development, meticulous care for detail, and to maintaining cutting edge manufacturing.
I was excited to check out the Kalorik website.
They have so many items for your home, but definitely for your kitchen!
Their items are all very stylish and modern. It was hard to decide what to review.
They have everything from Toaster Ovens to Steam Mops and even Chocolate Fountains!
I decided to review the Stand Mixer. I had been using a hand mixer for the past few years. After this last Christmas I had told myself that I needed to get a stand mixer. It was too tiring to use the hand mixer when you make cookies for hours!
This Kalorik Stand Mixer is small, but looks great in my kitchen! I hate big appliances that take up room so this was the perfect choice!
It was super easy to put together and VERY easy to use! There are basically 5 different parts to this mixer.
There’s the actual stand with a removable bowl. The mixer comes with your choice of beaters or dough hooks.
What’s great about this mixer is it is very easy to tilt back and forth. And the mixer comes off the base to become a hand mixer! 2 products in one for a fantastic price of $69.99!
We are leaving for Disney World TOMORROW so I decided to make some sugar cookies for Hayden so he can much on something for the trip.
I got out all of my ingredients.
And note this. This is VERY important.
I did not use my regular sugar cookie recipe. I used something new. We will come back to that later.
Check out my video of the Stand Mixer mixing together the flour and sugar.
There is no way I can ever go back to using just a hand mixer!
There are 5 different speeds for the mixer for different uses like mixing, beating and whipping! There is even a Turbo function and a Pulse function.
One of the things I liked best about the Stand Mixer is it’s very light and easy to clean. I was able to store in in my closet with no problem after wiping it down after using.
I decided to use our Mickey Mouse Cookie Cutter to make some Mickey shaped cookies for Hayden. I thought he’d get a kick out of that!
It’s not a big cookie cutter. It’s only about 5 inches in diameter.
After I put the cookies into the oven I sat down at the computer and was looking at reviews of the recipe I had chosen.
It seemed like a lot of people were saying how the cookies seemed to expand in the oven. They said they got huge. I figured these people were just exaggerating and it wouldn’t be that big of a deal.
So 12 minutes later I got out the cookies and this is what I found.
That is not a salad plate. That is a dinner plate. That is a vaguely Mickey Mouse Shaped Cookie the size of a dinner plate.
Yup, not going with that recipe again!
You have the chance to make vaguely Mickey Mouse Shaped Cookies of your own!
