Children’s Book Shines New Light on the Easter Bunny
From the heart of two St. Louis sisters, comes a new story of the very first Easter Bunny. Easter Bunny’s Amazing Day introduces young children everywhere to a fearful bunny who has an amazing experience on the first Easter morning that changes him forever. In his own words, the Bunny shares his story; a tale of action, adventure, miracles and great love—all beautifully illustrated by Saint Louis artist, Jonathan Sundy.
The response to the tale so far has been remarkable. As it turns out- this book is appealing to the heart of the child of any age. Adults are saying, “I never teared up before reading a children’s book.” A mother writes, “My children were immediately drawn into this story by the beautiful and endearing illustrations. This narrative is a wonderful way to communicate the religious meaning of Easter through our cultural idea of the Easter Bunny. It will be a favorite in our house for years to come!” An older man with some dementia is now reading the book two to three times a day because it calms him. Pre-school and elementary teachers love the book themselves and are grateful to finally have this unique story of the first Easter that includes everyone’s favorite bunny. Even a ten year old boy commented, “This is a good book.”
