I love being able to work from home but it seems that once 5pm rolls around, I’m all touched out and just want to decompress by myself. It’s nice to get in some jammies and just enjoy some “me time”. Put down the dishes and step away from the laundry….here’s three things you can do to get some “me time” in – because you deserve it!
Netflix
I’m a huge fan of Netflix and I’ve discovered some awesome new shoes thanks to it. I have binged watched Gossip Girl and Scandal and it’s nice to just escape into some mindless television for awhile. My recommendation if you’re looking for a show to watch on Netflix? Parenthood! You won’t egret catching up on this show which just had its series finale.
Book Club
I recently joined a Book Club through a Facebook group and I’m loving it. It’s great to make time to read again and I’ll spend some of my evening reading a few chapters and then discussing the book online. We read a lot of great bestsellers and I’ve been discovering some new authors. The current book I’m reading is Landline by Rainbow Rowell and it’s pretty good so far!
Gaming
When the kids go to sleep, my husband likes to decompress by playing games on his PlayStation 4. I like to grab my tablet or get on my PC to play games. There’s so many fun games out there like bingo 75 which is a fun and simple bingo game! Get your friends involved and it can be a fun little competition!
Moms – what do you do to get some “me time” in after the kids go to bed?
