4 Beach Vacations That Are Better in the Fall

These destinations especially, are ideal for a beach vacation in the fall.

Cannon Beach, Oregon

Early fall, mid-September through around mid-October, is often the warmest time of the year in Cannon Beach and throughout Oregon’s northern coast. Named one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world by National Geographic, this is also the time when you can enjoy some of the most glorious sunsets practically all to yourself. There’s plenty of other things to do too, including the Dog Show on the Beach and the Stormy Weather Arts Festival that are hosted this season too. Amelia Island, Florida

Nantucket, Massachusetts

Just about everyone who travels to Massachusetts during the autumn season heads to the mountains and hills to take in the colorful foliage, which means it’s the perfect time to visit Nantucket, a small island off the coat of Cape Cod. Summer is peak season here, which means you can take advantage of its serene harbors and gorgeous beaches without the crowds or high accommodation rates.
