Next week is the big day and I don’t know about you, but I’m making my list and checking it twice! No, not my gift lift but the things I need to do around my house to get it ready for guests! I hate cleaning the bathrooms and usually always leave it to last. It usually takes me the longest then. If you have kids, you probably are going to be bringing in a lot of toys and just STUFF next week so this week is the perfect time to declutter and get rid of the junk before guests come over. You’ll love seeing the room and extra space you have!
Smells
Sometimes, if your house SMELLS clean, it looks clean! That is the power of smell for you! Stock up on yummy holiday scented candles or get a diffuser for essential oils. For the past month, I’ve been going back and forth between lemon {which makes my house smell so clean!} and a blend called Peace & Calming – to obviously bring me peace and calming during this joyous season!
Wipe it Down
I love cleaning wipes and I use them for almost everything. Grab a canister and get to wiping. Wipe down the tables, TV stand, kitchen counters, fridge, cabinets, bathroom surfaces, kitchen table….you name it! Everything will get clean, look clean and smell good!
Floors

What are some of your holiday cleaning tips?
The BISSELL Upright Carpet Cleaner would make my life easier by making pet cleanup a snap.
I live in an older home, with older carpeting. It’s a constant struggle to get and/or keep the carpet clean and my landlord refuses to replace the carpeting. Having the Bissell cleaner handy at home would be much easier, and cheaper than having to run out and rent a carpet cleaner.
We have 3 dogs, and lots of carpet. This would help keep a clean house, and help the carpet last longer.

we have a free-range angora rabbit…..let’s just say our carpets look horrible! This would make our place look so much nicer if just the floors looked clean, the rest would follow!
As a dog owner, I’ve have to deal with the unpleasant task of trying to remove smelly pet stains from my carpet using only soap, water, and a bit of elbow grease. It’s an unpleasant task that can be time consuming and I’ve found that no amount of hand scrubbing or pet stain removers will completely remove the lingering, pungent odor of doggie urine that’s seeped deep into the matting below.

Since all the windows and doors are closed up for the Winter, I always worry that my house smells. I try to put out some extra house fragrances around. These are good tips, b/c there is no way I’m going to be spending whole days cleaning. It can be anxiety producing, as I have a relative who has a spotless house, but also talks about how dirty other ppl’s houses are, so I assume that includes mine, no more!
It would make my life easier because I have a husband, teenagers and grandkids to clean up afterwards. It seems like during Christmas my carpet takes a pounding. Id love to not have to worry about it.
I have Three littles who are messy little things. They spill on the carpet on a daily basis this would help me stress out less about the mess. Wow, bissel would make my life easier by cleaning up the little messes my pup…well my 10 year old pup, lol, makes. She’s getting older and can’t hold her self as much as she used to be able to, so now she makes a few pee messes, and I have to get down on my hands and knees to scrub that!
