During the lockdown, we spend the entire day at home. Today, more and more people start watching Netflix movies, having Zoom conferences and signing up for the best sports betting site instead of going out. It is impossible to imagine that only a year ago we could travel everywhere. But soon everything will change again, and we will be able to start our adventures. Want to go somewhere with your children? Then follow these tips.
Don’t Assume That a Vacation With Your Children will Be Like a Vacation Before His Birth
The sooner you realize this, the better for everyone. Time to read a book or magazine on the beach, a quiet swim in the waves, relax with a cup of coffee, most likely, will not be. Or it will be in a very reduced form and not when you need it.
To visit all the sights in the area, as you did before, is also unlikely to succeed. So it’s better to make a list in advance of what you want to have time to do, see, buy on the trip. When the first two or three days in a new place, you can distribute the things on your list evenly over the days, without leaving everything for the end of the trip. The main thing is not to panic or get frustrated, but to calmly drive or go with your child where you want to go when he is fed and in a good mood.
A child Develops Better in the Journey Than in a Kindergarten
Any trip for a child is a new experience (hotel, a new park, a different picture on the street), new food, new faces and different situations. The playground is not the usual swings and carousels, it can suddenly rain and so on. Where else will the child be confronted with these things at once? And the experience will come in handy sooner or later, and at the most unexpected times.
Treat the Journey as a Part of Life
Going with a child on the road, do not think that the journey is a temporary inconvenience. Thoughts like “oh, we just want to survive the flight,” or “we’ll go somewhere else, and then come home, and everything will be fine” will not give you confidence. On the contrary, you are just waiting for everything to be over and for you to be home. Nor should an airplane trip, car ride, or train ride be just a time-lapse in which your body simply travels from point A to point B – it’s life just like anything else.
Take Food for the Child on the Road
Even if you’re only flying two hours and you know that at the airport you’ll go to a cafe or business lounge, food and drink for the baby should always be with you. This is a rule that should not be neglected under any circumstances. Especially since passengers with children are not prohibited from carrying liquids and other foods.
First of all, your child may get hungry on the way to the airport. Secondly, you can get stuck in line or be delayed at the inspection and not have time to go to the cafe, as you will have to run to the plane. Thirdly, the flight may be delayed or rescheduled.
You can take crackers, fruits, and cookies. Think about what your little one loves, but what you rarely give them. Travelling is a time when you can allow sweets. There’s no harm in eating them once.
