7 Easy Ways to Make His Day

Generally speaking, when it comes to surprises, there are quite a few “common sense” type of things a lot of men do to make their wives or girlfriends smile. Sending flowers unexpectedly, having an unscheduled date night, cooking dinner, washing dishes, and surprising her with jewelry when it’s not a special occasion are just a few examples.

Men, however, can be a little more complicated, especially if you want to do something special. While you may not be able to take off for a perfect holiday on the Greek islands, we’ve got a few great ideas for how you can easily make his day.

1. A Yes Only Night

This one can be as fun as you want to make it. You may have said no when he tried to choose the wedding flowers or when he wanted to name your daughter the same name as his ex, but you can really surprise him with a night where you only say yes.

From simply letting him determine what’s for dinner to choosing where you’ll go for the weekend, the possibilities are endless. The key is not saying “no” to any of his requests… within reason, of course. 

2. Gifts that Last

That might be a one-time-only or once-in-a-blue-moon type of surprise, but with just because gifts for him, he’ll have something that will last far into the future. Whether it’s framed photos of your wedding, a sweet mug with a cool quote, or a custom pillow for his office, little gifts can go a long way.

3. A Photo Shoot

There is no questioning the fact that your man loves you. In sickness, when you generally feel and look your worst, and of course in health when you’re just as beautiful as the day you first met. 

However, with so much going on in your life, such as work, kids, and chores, romance can sometimes get put on the back burner. Consider igniting that flame and making his day, and maybe even his week, with an alluring boudoir photoshoot. 

4. A New Gadget

Your children probably have some of the coolest and best toys, and while he may be grown, chances are pretty good that your man likes “grown-up toys” as much as the next guy. In this day and age, there are several cool gadgets out there, so you can find affordable drones, virtual reality sets, and the latest trending games easily. 

5. A Morning Note

No one enjoys getting awakened to the shrill sound of the alarm clock at the crack of dawn. However, after that rude awakening, imagine his surprise when he sees a heart-felt note waiting on his pillow or nightstand. It can set the mood for the entire day. You can even include breakfast or a warm cup of coffee alongside the note for an extra special touch.

6. A Massage

It doesn’t matter if it’s first thing in the morning or after a hard day at work; a back and foot massage can be relaxing and definitely has the potential to make his day. If you don’t know how to give massages, you can always look up tutorials or surprise him with a gift card for one. 

7. An Unexpected Lunch Date

If it’s feasible, show up at his office shortly before lunch and take him out to eat. Or, show up with supplies for a picnic and head off to a local park for some quality time together.

Surprising your man with just about anything, especially when it’s thought out and heartfelt, is almost always guaranteed to make his day. This list is proof that it doesn’t have to be expensive or extravagant to make him smile and give him a day to remember.
