Some people may be getting ready for Back to School, but I’m still enjoying summer. There’s still places to explore, days to sleep in and food to be enjoyed! One of my favorite things about summer are the delicious meals. My husband has been grilling a few times a week and one of our new staples to each meal is Amaize Sweet Corn.
Amaize Sweet Corn is a delicious addition to your summer dinner and it’s something my whole family has been enjoying – my kids go crazy for it!
It took 22 years and testing well over 10,000 variations of corn, but George Crookham and Bruce Hobdey have pinpointed the ideal balance of texture and taste that has become Amaize Sweet Corn. Amaize Sweet Corn is a rare breed of sweet white corn grown in limited supply throughout the United States. Amaize is noted for its exceptionally sweet flavor and crunchy texture – it is also non GMO!
You’ll want to make sure you buy it now since Amaize Sweet Corn is only grown and harvested during the warm summer months and available for a limited time during the warm summer months.
How to Cook Amaize-ing Corn!
We usually like to grill our corn, but I’ve tried the Amaize Sweet Corn both ways – and both are delicious!
Boil
- Remove the husks and silk from the cobs.
- Place the cobs in a pot with boiling water.
- Cover the pot and return it to a boil again Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Carefully remove the cobs from water promptly to prevent overcooking.
Grill
- Peel back husks, but do not remove them from the base of the cobs.
- Remove silk from cobs.
- Fold husks back into place and soak cobs in water bath for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Heat grill to high and place cobs in husks on grill. Grill for 20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes. Husks will blacken.
- When cobs are done, remove from grill and carefully peel back and remove husks.
- For more of a grilled flavor, peel back husks and return to grill for a few minutes on each side.

Yay for being committed to NON-GMO! It’s the only corn I’ll buy since I know that 90% of corn is genetically modified. I had not heard of Amazed but am anxious to see where I can find it. Sounds Fabulous!
