Last week, I shared with you that we installed Lutron occupancy/vacancy sensor dimmers and switches in our bathroom and laundry room. Those were two places in our house where the lights were constantly being left on {mainly due to me and my son which drives my husband crazy!} and since installing them, the question “Who left the lights on?!” has been said a lot less!
My favorite place where we installed the switch is in the laundry room. Now that we are a family of 5 and the fact that we cloth diaper our twins, I’m constantly doing laundry. Now I can head into the basement and I don’t have to fumble with the light switch and out down my laundry baskets. The other day my husband called up to me and said, “Hey, this is really neat!” And it is!
Now I don’t have to worry about leaving the lights on in the bathroom or laundry room. The bathroom is especially helpful for my 5 year old in the middle of the night when he gets up to go to the bathroom. He usually has to get on a little stool to turn on the light {or we just constantly leave it on in the middle of the night} but now he just walks in and it turns on automatically for him – such a great thing for little kids!
