I am so sick of the crazy drivers out there.
Just recently I have read of so many horrific car accidents out there.
In fact, one of my husband’s co-workers was killed a few weekends ago driving home. A drunk driver was driving the wrong way down the highway and hit him head on where he was instantly killed.
How do things like that even happen? How are you so drunk that you are driving down the wrong side of the highway?
Unfortunately, it’s not only drunk driving that can cause you to get into accidents. It’s texting while driving, not paying attention, etc.
Lately, it seems every time I am driving somewhere with my toddler in the backseat, I see way too many close calls. It causes my heart to tighten up. I’m terrified that I will be in a car crash and I have no idea what I‘ll do when Hayden starts to drive in 13 years. (Seriously?! I can’t believe that! Can they push the driving age back to 25?)
The people that are in such a hurry to get someplace, who ride my tail….please stop. Would you rather get to work 5 minutes late or get in a car accident? When I knew I was running late to work I used to go over the speed limit. I used to be afraid of what my boss would say.
But then I realized it’s better to be safe. It’s better to be alive.
Life is so fragile. When will people start realizing that?
For now, I think I am going to purchase this magnetic sign to put on the back of my car.
What do you think?
I think people really don’t value this whole “life” thing. Such a shame.
Although I have to hide my phone while I’m driving so I can’t be tempted by it while stopped at lights. It’s pathetic but it’s better than an accident.
I’m the same way. My phone is very tempting to me and I have to put it out of reach.
I agree with this post. It is insane how people drive when running late. My husband is one of those, and I try not to ride with him when he is running late. It drives me crazy especially with the kids in the car. I have had said for many years they need to raise the speed limit, my son will be driving in 4 years and I am not sure I am ready for that.
I have totally been guilty of being like that when late, but I have to remind myself that it’s not that important!
couldn’t agree more. and i live in chicago and travel with my toddler in the back seat to the burbs every day. it’s SCARY out there!!
It really is!
Half the time, it’s the kids/toddlers in the backseat that CAUSE distracted driving!
So true! I know there are many times I’m turning around for my son!
I love it i want one because i have these signs on my car and my daughters car and it seems like people drive worse they get on my bumper especially truckers i have to drive and watch ppl so they dont hit me i would love one of these signs where can i get one?
It can get so bad out there! Sometimes I think people do it out of spite, if you’re moving too slow!
I made the sign from here!

I am so much more cautious now that I drive kids around. My husband calls me Driving Miss Daisy all the time. I’m good with that, I’d rather be slow and safe then get in a wreck. We have a HUGE red light running problem in my town. I am forever seeing people gunning it through a yellow and then rolling through when the light has been red for 3-5 seconds. Unfortunately, it is just the way of the world right now…I’m hoping my guardian angel sticks with me 🙂
I have seen people with the little yellow magnetic signs that say baby on board. I have noticed the crazy driving so much recently too. On my last 2 hour trip with my son, I was on a 2 lane highway and at least 10 cars were riding in my lane coming toward me, and when they saw me they swerved. I had to lay on my horn so loud and wake up my son because a truck was entirely in my lane one time coming around a curve…
What makes it even worse is I’m pregnant!!! I get so scared of even a little fender bender at a stop sign or red light… I agree with you…people need to learn if they don’t start driving more carefully, they are going to end up in a world of mess!
I tend to drive fast. With JDaniel in the car I have been convicted that I am taking his life in my hands when I drive fast.
That is awesome! I might grab me one. I have bluetooth in my phone and refuse to take a call unless I can use my blue tooth. I dont’ text because, well it is dangerous. But I have to admit it is my kids that tend to distract me the most. I wish I could get a 5 and 2 year old to understand they can’t be monkeys in the car.
That’s awesome! My husband was driving our 11 month old to her grandparents house a few weeks back and he was rear ended. Luckily, it was morning “rush hour” which means they were only moving a little faster than snails, but still. He thinks the guy was on the phone. I’m going to have to make one. I think you need to make and sell them!!!!
Oh no! I’m so glad they were okay! We were rear ended too on Christmas Eve! It was snowing and the guy was way too close to me!
I might need to start making bumper stickers! 😉
