Back-to-School DVD’s from NCircle Entertainment {DVD Review}

NCircle has done it again! They perfectly paired kid-friendly entertainment with education in the following fantastic DVD’s:

“Dino Dan – Where the Dinosaurs Are,” a new DVD from the popular NickJr. series for dino-loving kids everywhere!Dino Dan was my preschool aged son’s favorite of the set! He loved learning about the fun dinosaur facts while being entertained! And even though the series was all about dinosaurs, there was no scare factor at all! This was particularly wonderful because my 2 year old was watching it right alongside him. My son can identify most of the dinosaurs in the show now, pronouncing the long names correctly!

“The Gruffalo’s Child,” the follow-up DVD to the Oscar-nominated family film, “The Gruffalo,” based on a beloved children’s book series and featuring an all-star voice cast led by Helena Bonham Carter. Based on the children’s picture book by author Julia Donaldson, this animated tale follows a creature called the Gruffalo and his young daughter, who wants to explore life outside of their clearing despite her father’s warnings of a Big Bad Mouse that lurks in the forest.The Gruffalo is one of our family favorites with it’s good story line and easy to understand plot. This DVD was a great follow up to it. The animation and colors are beautiful and it isn’t too long-only about a half hour. The story line is very cute and even comes with an unexpected twist at the end!

“Noodle and Doodle – Noodly Doodly Things to Do,” containing episodes from the popular NBC Kids series for preschoolers that’s all about arts and crafts and other fun DIY activities. Encourage your child’s sense of creativity with fun craft projects and kid-friendly recipes that families can make together. Join Sean and his friends Noodle and Doodle as they use everyday household items to craft, cook and play! Also along for the ride is Sean’s dog Doggity who cooks up five special treats. All aboard the Noodle and Doodle bus!We love to craft and cook in this house! My kids were positively enthralled when they started using household items to craft! Even Sean’s dog Doggity gets in on the cooking action. We had a wonderful afternoon afterwards stretching our creative mind muscles!

“WordWorld – To the Rescue,” from the Emmy-winning PBS preschool series about letters and words (perfect for kids who are just starting to read). Join Duck and Fly as they learn how to be firefighters just like their friend Firefighter Frog! To be firefighters, the gang has to keep a look out for any signs of smoke in WordWorld, because where there’s smoke, there’s fire! Will Duck and Fly be able to determine what’s really smoke and what’s not? Firefighters to the rescue!Firetrucks + Word World? What could be better? My kids and I are big fans of the series, and I think this DVD takes the cake! It offers four episodes from the hit PBS show.
