With my son heading into Kindergarten this year, it’s been a whirlwind of getting him ready. He’s gotten new school supplies for the classroom, clothing, a backpack and a new haircut. One of the last things on our list was for him to get a new pair of shoes. We headed to Famous Footwear where I like to pick up shoes for the whole family. It’s bright, convenient and they have always been good about getting my son’s feet measured.
With a 5 year old and 6 month old twins, I feel like I’m always on the go. Add in the fact that I’m trying to get into a new exercise routine and I need a good pair of shoes that can keep up with me While shopping for my son, I decided that I needed to treat myself to a new pair of Back to School shoes!
I’ve always been a big fan of Reebok shoes and my current pair of shoes are the Reebok brand. My husband also has a pair too that he uses to run in. Since I’ve had my pair of Reebok’s for a few years I was excited to get a new style.
5 Reasons I Love My Reebok Shoes from Famous Footwear
Style – There was a bigger selection of Reebok shoes online, but my local Famous Footwear had about 3 different varieties to choose from. I tend to go for shoes and clothing in dark colors but my son really loved this pair of bright orange and blue shoes. I thought I’d step out of my box for this back to school season, and I’m so glad I did! They are bright and colorful and I love looking at my feet while I’m on the go or working out!
Comfort – I usually don’t like to wear tennis shoes at all. I try to make flip flop season work from March to November but lately they just aren’t working for me like they used to now that I’m carrying 2 car seats to a car while keeping up with a 5 year old. I was afraid that my feet would feel constricted in the Reebok SmoothFlex shoes, but they weren’t! The shoes were very lightweight and made me WANT to get up and start moving! I usually have issues with my heel hurting after a lot of activity but it didn’t hurt at all – the insole cushion is so comfortable!
Fit – It seems after each child, my feet go up in size. In the past few years I’ve gone from a size 8 to a 9.5. My feet have also gotten wider. I didn’t seen any shoes available in wide though so I wasn’t sure how they would fit my feet. I was pleasantly surprised that they fit perfectly! The mesh lining feels like it actually stretches around my foot and the entire shoe is so flexible!

I hear you on the feet size going up with each pregnancy. For that reason I also prefer running shoes with mesh shell, I just can’t ever find cute enough styles in that material… until now! these are gorgeous and comfy I am sure!
Those are so cute! I’d love to treat myself to new shoes as well, but I am so picky. I’ve spent hours looking and trying on, but haven’t committed to any yet, lol.
I am totally loving the new Reebok styles and colors, unfortunately I can’t seem to find Reeboks that work for me anymore. I’ve gotten used to wearing New Balance and nothing else seems to work 🙁 I do like the colors that POP though.
Reebok shoes are the most comfortable and stylish shoes I have ever owned. Mine are so comfortable for walking and now they have made them with awesome colors!
If anyone needs new sneakers when kids go back to school, it’s mom!!! I love these and didn’t know you could get them at Famous Footwear – esp love the bargains. I need new sneaks for spring, so will be checking this out!
