The story that I read today was too bizarre not to share!
There is a photo for sale on eBay from the 1800’s of a Civil War photographer named G.B. Smith, who eerily looks like Nicolas Cage. In fact, the seller claims that Nicolas Cage must be a vampire. Which my husband says can’t be true since we have seen Nicolas Cage age over the years! :-p
How CRAZY is that photo? You must go check out the eBay auction, the Q&A for the seller is pretty hilarious.
The picture is selling the photo for a bargain price of 1 million dollars (with only $2.75 shipping!) but he has just updated the auction where half the proceeds will go to a charity of the buyer’s choice.

I’d love to say real, but the face doesn’t look like it’s quiet on the head at the correct angel does it? There’s something about how the ear is placed vs the direction the face is looking. My family did Civil War reenactments for several years, so I’ve looked through thousands of Civil War Era images, and once we came across one where the girl was a dead ringer for my daughter Katie. Just an exact match for her at the age she was when we found it, it was very spooky but does occasionally happen!
Well, we supposedly all have a doppelganger out there, right? So this is Nicholas Cage’s!!
His head is not on straight. Mine isn’t either though, so I don’t judge.

For $1,000,000 the seller should be shipping for free.
Thanks for posting my auction link! I am the owner of this photo and you have my word that it is not Photoshopped. Anybody with enough skill in Photoshop to match the color, shading, etc, could have easily done a much better job dealing with those goofy looking ears! Or, would have just chosen a better “base” photo to work with in the first place.

Oh my goodness. Crazy. My uncle looks a lot like Nicolas Cage too….maybe we are all related? 😉
