One of the best things about having kids is reliving your childhood. I love the fact that I can buy my girls a Cabbage Patch Doll {I still have my own named Jenny!} and my husband loves the fact that our son is so into Star Wars and He-Man. So it’s no surprise that I have some nostalgia for my childhood. After the kids go to sleep, I can continue my love for the 1980’s and 1990’s by catching up on some of my favorite shows that are now on Netflix!
Saved by the Bell – Seasons 1-6
At the top of this list HAD to be Saved by the Bell. When I saw it was on Netflix, I was like I’m so excited, I’m so excited, I’m so scared excited to start watching Saved By the Bell again! This was my FAVORITE show growing up and now you can watch all six seasons on Netflix.
The Wonder Years – Seasons 1-6
I wasn’t too into The Wonder Years but I would occasionally catch an episode. My husband really liked The Wonder Years so he was excited to see this on Netflix and it’s been fun catching up on this classic show.
Quantum Leap – Seasons 1-5
Oh boy, I can’t even tell you how much I loved Quantum Leap. Besides the obvious crush on Scott Bakula {am I right?!}, it opened up my love of time travel. I always looked forward to each new episode to see where he would leap to.
Wings – Seasons 1-8
I have loved seeing Tim Daly the past few years in shows like Private Practice and The Mindy Project because I loved him when he was in Wings. While running 8 seasons, I still think Wings was such an under-appreciated show!
Dawson’s Creek – Seasons 1-6
When Dawson’s Creek first premiered, I LOVED it. I was hooked but for some reason I didn’t watch the last 2 seasons. A few months ago, I even looked on Wikipedia to see how the series ended but little did I know that it’s on Netflix and I can catch up on all the seasons!
These are just a few of my favorite shows from the 80’s and 90’s that are available on Netflix. Which show do you wish you could watch again?
Thanks to Netflix, I’m giving away a 3 month subscription!
