With the twins arrival only about 10 weeks away, my husband and I have been in full on nesting mode! Weekends and days off are spent organizing our basement, remodeling our bedroom and getting their room ready. We have even redid the tile in our kitchen and completely reorganized my son’s room!
Next up?
The bathroom! Actually, make that two bathrooms!
Our house was built in the 1950’s and our bathroom definitely looks like it. We are looking to make it look more like a modern bathroom, because right now it’s tiny and cramped and definitely not enough for a soon to be family of 5!
We are also finishing our basement next month and adding in an additional bathroom, which will be such a huge help in the future! We are starting from scratch downstairs, so it has been a lot of fun looking at different paint, bathroom vanities and yes, even toilets!
It won’t be a huge bathroom in the basement, since we are also enclosing our laundry room and adding on a playroom and living area. We plan on having a shower, toilet and vanity in our new bathroom.
Since I’m going to want to maximize our space but still have a stylish bathroom, I love this Single Bathroom Vanity! I have been a huge fan of these styles of sinks for awhile. I love this because it saves space and has a great mirror and shelves that you can add.
To save even more space, this would be great for our new downstairs bathroom also. I love the Espresso wood with the modern looking sink. There’s plenty of room underneath for some type of storage too.
Even though I think we are a little nuts to start such a huge remodel to our house just weeks before the twins come, I know it’s totally worth it! I can’t wait to have extra space downstairs and an extra bathroom – I don’t know which one I’m more excited about!
