Calm Your Baby with the Comfort & Harmony Swing {Review and Giveaway}

With the addition of two newborns, our household has gotten a lot busier! I work from home plus have a five year old son so I’m always looking for things that will make life a little easier. We’ve got the bouncers, rockers and activity mats to keep the girls busy and entertained but we were missing something that we could bring with us on the go. We love to still visit family and friends, not to mention travel, so the baby item that we needed to add to our collection was a portable baby swing!

When I was offered the chance to review the Comfort & Harmony Swing in Sandstone Fashion, which is only available at Target, I jumped at the chance! We currently have a HUGE swing that both my girls loved, but I was looking forward to having an additional swing so they could both be happy plus I couldn’t wait to bring it to the in-laws house the next time we visited.

This swing may be small and portable, but it’s big on features! Once out of the box, it was very easy to put together – unlike other complicated baby products! The fabric is gender neutral, so it’s perfect to blend it with the furniture of your house or if you’re wanting to hold onto it for future children. The material is also machine-washable, which is a HUGE plus with not only one child but definitely two children!

The swing has a minimum weight limit of 5 pounds and a maximum weight limit of 25 pounds and is recommended for ages 0-6 months. Both of my girls now weigh about 8 pounds, but it’s good to know that they could have fit in the swing even when they were first born (they both came home from the hospital under 6 pounds). Once we put in the 4 C batteries (not included), we got our little Evie into it for some swinging fun!

The swing has 2 different reclining positions which is perfect. Evie has a little bit of reflux, so it’s nice to have her sitting up a bit while her sister Olivia likes to swing in a more flat position. There’s also a removable infant head support pillow that they are currently using and makes them a lot more comfortable.

There are 6 different speeds on the swing so you can find out what your little one likes best as they rock to the sweet lullabies that HAVE VOLUME CONTROL! Seriously, there have been so many times that I wished baby toys (bouncers, rockers, etc.) came with volume control. I’ve had some products that I won’t turn the music on because it’s just so loud so the volume control is a huge plus for me! There’s also a timer that features an automatic shutoff – great for saving the battery life of the swing.

I also love that the Comfort & Harmony Swing in Sandstone Fashion features a 5 point harness. I haven’t seen this in any other swing and with a prechooler, dog and cat running around our house, it makes me feel safer knowing she is really buckled in there and can’t fall out if knocked into. To keep them entertained, there’s a detachable toy bar with two adorable polka dotted animals hanging down for them to play with!

    My sister could use one of everything..like a cradling bouncer. I never really thought there would be a difference between a bouncer and a swing? In my mind they equal different levels of nausea!

    This swing looks a lot nicer than the one I had when my daughter was newborn. It would be nice to win it for my son who is due in July.
