Over the years, I’ve always been choosy when picking an organization to support and donate to. It had to be someone who supported and helped children, and I actually wanted to see the things they do. For our family, that’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raise funds for 170 children’s hospitals in the U.S. and Canada, and in the U.S alone, they provide more than $3.5 billion in charitable care every single year. What I love about donating to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is that donations stay local and are used however the hospital needs them the most. We have two fantastic hospitals here in St. Louis that they support—St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Cardinal Glennon Hospital—and I love that they are getting support from the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
When you make a donation to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, they are able to purchase life-saving equipment, conduct research and pay for the special things that make a children’s hospital a children’s hospital and so crucial to a child’s healing—specialized therapy programs, equipment in multiple sizes, playrooms and more! When YOU donate, you’re helping kids out during a difficult time in their life.
Even though we have donated in the past, my family knew that we wanted to do something more. There’s a ton of different ways to help out Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, but when I talked to my 8-year-old son, he immediately wanted to have a lemonade stand. He’s been wanting to do one for awhile now, and with his big heart, he decided that all of the proceeds would go to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
It was easy to get started with our idea of raising money. First, I created a fundraiser page, where I was able to select a goal (we decided to make our goal $200) and what hospital we wanted our money to go to. After personalizing our letter and letting friends and family know we were also going to have a lemonade stand, I was ready to share it on social media and start raising money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals!
You, too, can be a Miracle Maker! Create a fundraiser page and then start raising money! You can just ask friends and family to donate, or you can get the whole family together to raise money—host a BBQ, yard sale, car wash or have your very own lemonade stand with the proceeds going to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. You’ll love knowing how you’re making a difference in children’s lives.
Put your money where the miracles are. Support your Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
