Celebrate National Hug Day with Huggy Buddha

I must admit, when I unboxed the Huggy Buddha, there was an instant wave of joy that came over me. His clever smiling face just seemed to radiate comfort and humor from inside the box.  When I reached down to pick him up the silky soft texture was pleasing to the touch, and I quickly brought him in for a hug.  Yes – less than a minute with the chubby enlightened one and I was already a fan.

With three kids, I’ve had more than out fair share of plush come through my house, but this guy was just a little different than the normal stuffie.  My husband “squeed” with delight when he saw the toy, and my teenage daughter, well Budai hasn’t left her lap all night.  More than just another plush toy, Huggy Buddha is a velvety cloth sculpture with adorable details including a smiling face, long dangly earlobes, and most adorable belly button.  Sitting at about 25 cm tall this happy traveling monk has a silvery grey color, and is stuffed plump for firm hugging.
