Can you believe the the Whirlpool Corporation just celebrated 100 years?
In 1911, the first electric motor-driven wringer washing machine was created in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

I know that there are so many people that get by without a washer and dryer, but I honestly can’t imagine getting by without mine! Sometimes I have dreams of handwashing and then drying my clothes on a line in the backyard but I quickly snap out of it when I see these pretty things in my basement!

Here are just a few of my favorite things I have been enjoying with my Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer!
Precision Dispense
With the Precision Dispense Ultra, I can buy a bottle of HE Laundry Detergent (I’m currently using Wisk, what do you use?) and pur the detergent into the cartridge. The cartridge will hold up to 18.5 oz of liquid detergent, which means 36 loads of laundry, depending on the cycle! The Precision Dispense Ultra saves me money by not going overboard with laundry detergent and also is saving me time by dispensing the soap itself!
Fan Fresh
There are many times that I will put a load of laundry in and I can’t get to it right away. Sometimes I’ll decide to put in a load late at night and then it sits in the washer overnight. We have all done it and we know what the clothes end up smelling like: musty! With the Fan Fresh option, the washer will tumble the clothes for up to 16 hours, keeping the clothes fresh and clean!
Wrinkle Shield with Steam
There’s many times that I just want to refresh a garment or NOT use an iron (don’t we all) and this wrinkle shield lets me skip the ironing.
In the past 100 years, the Whirlpool Corporation has done not only so much for the advancement of appliances, but they also have done so much for our community!
