I love attending grand openings of stores and when I heard that Fresh Thyme was opening two stores in the St. Louis area, I knew I had to be there! If you haven’t been to a Fresh Thyme Farmers Market yet, you’re going to quickly fall in love. They have combined the spirit of a weekend farmers market, and the convenience of a neighborhood store, with the nutritious offerings of a natural food marketplace to create a NEW and healthy shopping experience in the Midwest. Best of all, it’s affordable too!
Fresh Thyme Farmers Market just opened their first two stores in Missouri – Town & Country and O’Fallon. I visited the Town & Country store last week and quickly fell in love with the bright store featuring organic and local fruits and vegetables, a natural meat department, healthy deli foods to go, bakery goods, 400 bulk food bins, dairy and frozen, and health supplement products.
It’s so hard to narrow it down, but here are my five favorite things about Fresh Thyme Farmers Market!
Affordable Organic and Local Fruit
In most of my local grocery stores, it’s hard to find organic fruit and veggies that is also local. If they do have them, the prices are usually outrageous. I love that Fresh Thyme offers affordable organic and local fruits and veggies for my family!
Bright, Clean and Easy to Navigate
Now, I know that I was there for the first day but I can’t imagine Fresh Thyme not looking bright and clean all of the time. There’s no tall, dark aisles and it’s easy to see all of the food throughout the store. I loved how easy it was to navigate and where everything was placed just made sense.
Great Customer Service
Everywhere I went, employees greeted me with a smile. I had the chance to chat with Carol from Chicago and she told me a bit about the background of Fresh Thyme – plus, she gave me some samples from the bakery that immediately had me loading up my cart. All of the employees were so happy and having a great time.
DIY Aspect
At Fresh Thyme, you can make your own nut butter, create your own pizza and pour your own liquids and oils! Plus, there’s a huge selection of bulk coffee and spices to choose from – and you can get as much or as little as you need.
Giving Back to the Community
I love that Fresh Thyme gives back to the community that they are in. Fresh Thyme believes in cultivating relationships with local organizations, schools and not-for-profit groups so together they can make a difference in our communities. Every time you shop a Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, you can visit the Giving Tree to see which local organizations we’re supporting with in-kind donations and fundraising events.
