While watching shows on Disney Junior with my son, I’ve enjoyed watching “That’s Fresh” with Chef Helen Cavallo as she shows quickly how to make a delicious recipe.
Now, Disney Junior will debut “That’s Fresh: For Kids,” a new version with new episodes debuting every morning on Disney Channel throughout the week. The series will encourage young viewers to play an active role in the cooking process and imparts the importance of healthy eating habits.
In each episode, Chef Cavallo prepares simple and nutritious recipes that require no sharp objects or cooking so that young viewers at home can safely assist their parents or caregivers.
Featured recipes include Veggie Rolls, Fruit Kabobs, Trail Mix, Berry Pops and Doc McStuffins’ No Bake Muffins. All “That’s Fresh: For Kids” recipes are Mickey Check-approved. Foods that receive the Mickey Check meet Disney Nutrition Guidelines that limit calories, saturated fat, sodium and sugar.
I love cooking with Hayden and I think this will be a fun show to watch with him as we think of new healthy recipes to cook up! Check out this sneak peek below and don’t forget to watch it tonight!
I’d love to try the Doc McStuffins’ No Bake Muffins with my grandson!
Sounds good! I will check it out

Sounds like a kids show actually worth watching!
sounds great interesting watching
I use to love teaching my kids to cook and letting them help so this is a program that should continue. It surely helps them out when they get older and to know many things about cooking and eating healthy
I actually tried her cauliflower rice idea and it was delicious, my son wouldn’t eat it but I loved it.
I didnt know that they ever had cooking shows. That’s really great. I love the idea of fruit kebobs. Yeah it takes a little longer to make than just cutting with a knife, but your children will be more likely to eat it.
Such a great series! Am so happy to hear more about it. I find there are a lot of things my kids can do in the kitchen without any sharp tools and I’m happy for more ideas.
My little girl (Taylor) loves Helen…she says she wants to cook with her so she can come home and cook for her family…too sweet…
I just want to encourage Disney to keep airing Helen as she shares her recipes. It’s very important that our children have a variety of healthy things to eat, and Helen helps me to be versatile in the things I can make easily and quickly for my always hungry toddler.
