Two Ways To Get Your Kids Their Daily Vitamins
If you’re children are anything like mine, healthy and tasty are not allowed in the same sentence. I have tried over and over to make my kids eats their veggies and fruits so they can naturally absorb the vitamins they need. I learned quickly, you cannot make children eat something they do not want – you can scare them, ground them and take away their toys – ultimately aside from the fact that these can be cruel tactics, they’re going to eat what they want. Some children (certainly not mine) actually like their fruit and even some veggies. But other children, it takes a bit more work (and maybe some trickery) to make sure they’re getting their vitamins. I’ve found two successful over-the-counter items you can implement into your kid’s diet everyday that will ensure they are getting their vitamins, with or without the veggies.
Flinstones Gummies
At Walmart you can pick up their select flavors of gummy vitamins in 2-packs for $9. My kids have no idea that these are daily vitamins and that they are good for them. I just tell them everyday before school that we need to eat our Flinstones – they love it and ask no questions. When you send your kid off to school, you really have no idea whether they’re eating all of their veggies and fruit, even if you do pack a lunch for them. It makes me feel better knowing that they are getting the recommended vitamins before they leave the house and anything on top of that is a bonus towards their health.
Emergency C Vitamins
These packets are great for children and you wouldn’t think so, but unless they’re getting enough Vitamin C out of their fruits (especially oranges) and veggies, this is one of the best ways to do it. I’ve noticed since I’ve started doing this, my kids don’t get sick very often and their immune systems are much stronger. Also, the younger a child is, the more Vitamin C they need – I’ve heard that infants need up to as much as 50 mg a day and children between 4 and 8 years old need about 25 mg. Of course, Emergency packets have 1,000 mg and no one needs that much Vitamin C so I usually put ¼ of the packet in my kid’s juice in the morning before they head off to school. That way I know, even if they don’t eat all o f their fruits and veggies, they are still getting their Vitamin C and there’s a lot of flavors to choose from.
The truth is we all want our children to love their fruits and veggies and be healthy eaters. The reality is that there is so much out there to choose from, healthy foods aren’t always the first choice for children. We hope that when they grow up they will make the right choices, including eating healthy and it’s always positive reinforcement to encourage these kind of eating habits. But until they are old enough to realize the benefits of vitamins and fruits and veggies, it is our jobs as moms to help them out – that’s what we’re here for right?

I remember when Vitamins were chalky and nasty! I would have loved to have gummy vitamins back in the day!
my little guy loves those disney gummies. i let him pick out the bottle (there’s toy story, princesses, and the marvel comics guys). at first i told him it is medicine. i did not want him thinking that it was candy or something. and even though he is 18 months, he understands. he gets one at dinner every night. he even lets me know if he did not get it (i take my vitamins, too, with him. so i know if he’s right lol – good thing i’ve got him keeping me straight….prego brain is bad!) anyway, he’s now using the marvel comics ones (same brand) but he doesnt seem to care as long as he gets his “medicine”
Hello! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with hackers?
My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing months
of hard work due to no backup. Do you have any solutions to
protect against hackers?
