When planning a child’s birthday party these days, it’s hard not to get caught up in the Pinterest craze. When planning my twins 2nd birthday party, I have to admit that I went a little overboard. Both girls are really into Minnie Mouse, so I knew that we had to have a Minnie Mouse themed party. We had decorations, themed food and of course Minnie Mouse cakes! But of course, my little girls had to have the perfect outfit too! I had a vision in my head that they would wear Minnie Mouse dresses and I visited a few stores until I found the perfect one – but ouch, the price tag was pretty high for a dress they would wear for just their birthday party. But then I realized they would probably wear it for dress-up, plus we were going to Walt Disney World a few months after their birthday, so the dresses were really a good investment, right?
We had a delicious spread of sweet treats and the girls sure enjoyed it! From cupcakes to cake and suckers, these 2 year old girls went crazy over everything and enjoyed a nice sugar rush – but unfortunately so did those dresses!
