I’m just going to admit it right now. As a Mom of 3, my house is a mess. It sometimes looks like a tornado has gone through our house and the truth is that three little tornadoes have destroyed the house about mid-day. My six year old is now old enough to pick up the mess in his room – and the basement and the living room and so on! But it definitely can be a struggle to make him pick everything up, especially when he’s decided there are better things he can be doing.
Luckily, I’m not along in that struggle because there’s an amazing product out there called ToyTainer that makes picking up toys FUN!
With ToyTainer products, your kids play – and then put it away! ToyTainers come in a variety of styles for children aged 2 to 8 and combine play time with pack up time. These fun storage solutions that provide an interactive element to packing up, making it a part of play time (and giving you BACK your time!)
We received a huge assortment of ToyTainer products and I’m so thankful because now my son loves to pick up his toys!
I’m about to get real with you. Here’s a picture of our basement – where Olivia, Evie and Hayden do play on a daily basis. It gets destroyed and most days I’ll just pick it up myself because it’s not worth arguing.
When I told Hayden that it was time to clean up but that it was going to be FUN, he didn’t believe me. But then I pulled out the ToyTainer products and the fun began!
Fire Truck and Ice Cream Truck Play’n Store
The fire truck and ice cream truck was a big hit with all three kids. Not only can you play with it but it opens up and provides storage for plenty of toys! Plus, they look good and blend in nicely with the other toys – you wouldn’t even know it’s storing toys!
Bulldozer Scoop n’ Store
This was one of Hayden’s favorite toys. He loved pushing it around his room and scooping up all of his action figures and then dumping them into the back of the bulldozer where you can then store the toys. After that you can lock them up and then keep on playing or carry it to another room!
Arcade Depot
This was another fun product to get your little one picking up their toys. Hayden said it reminded him of Toy Story and would run around saying, “I pick you up with THE CLAW!”. He used the grabber to pick up his smaller toys and then would drop them into the container. It’s a great combination toy and storage!
Games Centre and Princess Castle Fold ‘n Go
Both of these are SO much fun and so convenient for us parents too as we look to get toys up off the floor. Just simply hang on the back of a door with the 2 provided door hooks. The Games Centre are different games and targets to play with including a basketball hoop. Once playtime is over, it can store balls of different sizes and has straps and pockets for other toys.
The Princess Castle features a giant castle background and even has a mirror that folds out to become a drawbridge. This is a perfect setting for your little one to play princesses and knights! There’s plenty of straps and pockets to hold toys when playtime is over.
EZ-Mat
The EZ-Mat is great for taking your toys on the go. The mat is waterproof and machine washable and is 48″ inches in size. That is a ton of room for your child to play their toys on and there are tons of pockets to store the toys. When your child is done playing, just make sure all of the toys are on the themed mat, pull the drawstring and go! This is great if you head to someone else’s house OR if you’re trying to keep the house clean. Just tell your child they are only allowed to play on that space!
Shoe Box Play ‘n Store
The Shoe Box Play ‘n Store are also great for on the go. They start folded up flat but then open up and unfold so it becomes a play mat for toys! There are three different to choose from – City, Castle and Farm. Get all three and they easily stack on top of each other for storage. The Shoe Box includes a portable handle so you can bring the fun with you!
Check out the after photo of our basement! Hayden had a blast cleaning everything up!
All of the ToyTainer products are available at Target and are perfect if you have a little one that doesn’t like to clean up their toys {that means all of you reading this, right?!}. All of the products are so sturdy and made very well so I’m excited that they will hold up for years even as my girls get older.

Oh wow these are BRILLIANT! The problem I always had were the small toys that really didn’t go with anything. I had a rack that held those plastic bins but my daughter preferred to just shove everything under the dresser instead of putting them in the bins. These would have save us a lot of arguments LOL

These are so cool! My kids dislike cleaning ANY ROOM. I use the bottom drawers of our entertainment center for toy storage in the living room and even the few feet often gets major complaints. It would be awesome to have these.

My daughter doesn’t like cleaning her room. It’s a Lego minefield. I love these products; very clever idea for getting kids interested in cleaning.
