This post brought to you by Dollar General. All opinions are 100% mine.
As a busy work-at-home mom of three kids, I’m all about EASY dinners in the kitchen. If it uses a ton of ingredients or will take me a lot of time, it’s not happening. So it’s no surprise that the crock pot is a big favorite of mine. You can almost make anything in the crock pot and a few years ago when our stove was broken for a few months, we did! Our favorite go-to meal in the crock pot though is making a whole rotisserie chicken. This is one of the EASIEST meals you can make. All you need is a whole chicken and a great seasoning. I like to make my own seasoning and I’m excited to share it with you. Best of all, you’ll find all of the ingredients you need for the Rotisserie Chicken Seasoning at your local Dollar General by using their Clover Valley products!
I already had a whole chicken in my fridge so now all I needed was the delicious seasoning! Mix it all together and you’ll love it!
Ingredients
– Whole Chicken
– 3 tablespoons Clover Valley Extra Virgin Olive Oil
– 1 tablespoon paprika
– 1 tablespoon garlic powder
– 2 teaspoons salt
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 2 teaspoons black pepper
Directions
– Place balled up foil at the bottom of the crockpot. This will let the juices of the chicken fall below it and you can even save the broth!
– Pour olive oil into small bowl.
– Add paprika, garlic powder, salt, onion powder and black pepper to the olive oil and mix together.
– Brush the mixture all over the whole chicken.
– Place into crock pot and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 7 hours.
The chicken is so easy to make. Mixing together the seasoning to make my Chicken Seasoning only took me about 5 minutes and only because I made a bigger batch to put into a jar. Once you brush the mixture onto the chicken {another 5 minutes}, you just place it in the crock pot and forget about it for a few hours!
We served up our Crock Pot Rotisserie Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries and a Salad….YUM!

I generally don’t make whole chickens because my husband and I only eat white poultry meat, but my daughter loves drumsticks and this looks so good, that I think I’d find a way to use the rest of the dark meat!

I have chicken breasts in the crock pot today. I’ve never done a whole chicken in the crockpot, but I think I need to do this in the near future. This looks amazing!!! And I LOVE sweet potato fries, so this would rank up there as one of the best meals in my opinion!

That looks delicious! We love Rotisserie chicken and usually buy the cooked ones at the deli in our local Walmart of Kroger. Sometimes though, they’re really dried out because they sit under those heat lamps for hours.. YUCK! I love to cook in my crockpot so I’ll have to try this recipe. It looks so yummy and moist!
