My son is HUGE into superheroes. Like, pretty much obsessed. His whole room is decorated in the Justice League and the cartoon heroes cover his wardrobe too. He’s always asking for superhero toys, so when I had the chance to give him a unique superhero gift, I jumped at the chance!
HeroMe is a customizable, online world where children create their own HM Action Figure, which then arrives on their doorstep a few days later. With a choice of ten superpowers, looks and skills, a child’s creativity becomes reality in a superhero that does good deeds.
“The idea for HeroMe came from watching a young boy create a superhero to help him conquer multiplication, division and other math problems,” explained Josh Bryan, founder and CEO of HeroMe, LLC. “Watching him tap into his imagination and creativity to overcome challenges, inspired the concept to foster children’s creative development through play and the creation of their own superhero.”
My son has a huge imagination and I’m always looking for toys and activities that will help him be creative. HeroMe is perfect because his imagination is on the go from the very beginning. We headed to the HeroMe Lab where Hayden worked with Dr. Socs to create his very own hero. He was able to choose how the head, the right arm and the left leg looked, making it completely his own.
Once the HeroMe arrived, he was able to invent his superhero’s story using the HeroMe Handbook and then the adventures started!
“By fostering a child’s creativity from an early age, HeroMe encourages children to strengthen their critical thinking and analytical skills,” said Annie Bryan, vice president of HeroMe, LLC. “At HeroMe, we see this as an opportunity to simultaneously instill notions of goodwill. Whether introduced to the ‘do-good’ concept online, or when decoding secret messages from Dr. Socs in the HM Handbook, these reminders are powerful messages.”
Each HeroMe action figure comes with a reusable rocket ship box, a customizable ID card and the HM Handbook. Gift packages allow buyers to share the experience of creating a superhero and start at $50 including taxes and shipping. Items sold separately include personalized HM Posters, HM Cape Sets including both child and HM Action Figure capes, and HM t-shirts.
Hayden loves watching “unboxing videos” on YouTube, so he had to make one himself with his HeroMe!
