Life can sure be crazy as a Mom of a 6 year old and 1 year old twins. I have a lot of people say to me that they don’t know how I do it. I don’t know how I do it either – it just happens! Some days are good, some days are bad. I decided to document one of my days last week so you could see a typical day in our life!
I woke up as my alarm went off at 7am and founds that someone had crawled into bed with me with some toys!
After getting up, I get my twins out of bed and settled right into their highchairs for breakfast. After making breakfast for all three kids, I settle down and get a little work done on my PC.
It’s 8:45 am and I drop Hayden off at school. This morning, I have a meeting at my church about installing a Little Free Library {more on that later!} so I’ve got a little time to waste before then. Since I forgot to eat breakfast at home myself, I run through Starbucks for a Grande Skinny Vanilla Latte. I decide to try the Bistro Box for the first time and it’s pretty good!
After eating in the parking lot while we listen to the Frozen soundtrack – my girls love it – we then head to church. Luckily, we were able to have our meeting in the nursery so the girls loved being able to crawl around and play.
After the meeting, it was time to pick up Hayden since he is just in morning Kindergarten. We headed to Sam’s Club to pick up a few items. I love to get our fruit there since we go through it so fast. A little secret? Sam’s is one of the CHEAPEST places to eat lunch, so we did just that!
The girls enjoyed lunch, but when we passed a display of Veggie Straws, they went nuts. That is their favorite snack so I did what any Mom does – open the bag right in the store. Happy babies, right?
After we got home, I got all the kids in the house and then I headed in the kitchen to put away the groceries. Only, the power of the twins {really, I didn’t put the gate on good enough!} knocked down the gate and Olivia got into some dog food. Hey, it’s nutritious right? Keeping it real with you!
3pm and it’s always when I get hit with the I WANT TO TAKE A NAP NOW bug. Luckily, I’ve discovered iced coffee and I LOVE it.
Once everything was put away, we headed down into our basement. I just got a new desk, but it’s been completely taken over by my son who has deemed it the Skylanders desk. He’s been enjoying drawing pictures of Skylanders. The girls love all the space with their toys. But don’t think I can get any work done – as soon as I open up my laptop, the girls start crawling right toward me and want in my lap!
4pm and Daddy is home – yay! This is usually when I toss the kids at him and run! I kid, I kid! The weather is finally gorgeous, so we took advantage and spent some time outside while my husband BBQed.
After dinner, we get the girls to bed. They go to sleep around 6:45pm {and sleep until 7am!} and we all head to the basement. My husband was doing something with the wires and then we were watching the Blues playoff game!
Before the game ends, I get my six year old to bed and do a little cleaning around the house – whoops, I forgot to take a picture of my disastrous kitchen! Then, it’s a little bit of blogging before bed.
This is a typical day for me – when I am home, I get the girls down for a nap and they sleep anywhere from an hour to 3 hours but when we are on the go, they nap in the car.
I took all of the above pictures with my Samsung Galaxy Note 3! It has a 13 megapixel camera and can take some pretty amazing photos. There’s an auto mode, but there’s also different modes to play around with likeΒ Drama mode, Animated Photo, Sports, Surround shot, Panorama, Eraser, HDR, Beauty Face, Best Photo and Sound and Shot. If you’re looking for a phone with an amazing camera – the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the one for you!
Disclosure: As member of a pretty cool team of influencers, I received the SamsungΒ Galaxy Note 3 with line of service from Verizon. No additionalΒ compensation was provided nor did I promise positive feedback. Β AllΒ opinions are my own.
Love it. I feel like if I took pictures through out my day, it would be far less boring than yours!
I’m glad I’m not the only one with a toddler who brings “offerings” to the bed in the morning! It’s not too fun to be thrusted in the face with a plane or car!
I am not sure where you find time to get the blog updated and take pictures! I love the picture of your little ones in the stroller- so cute!
I totally get it! When my twins were babies, I often wondered how I did it with three other children to worry about. My bio kids are now 7 (the twins up to 13. Believe you me, it doesn’t get any less hectic! LOL But the rewards are well worth it.
Haha, what a very active and productive day! Great photo captures! I felt like I was there with you
busy day you have there. I love that cup you have. your girls are getting so big too
I don’t know how any of us moms get anything done. It does just kind of happen most days! We make it work.
Thanks for sharing a day of your life. Great photos with your Galaxy Note. I would’ve never know it was a tablet. I use my Samsung S4 to take photos and it takes great pictures.
Your life sounds a lot like mine. I, too, have discovered the affordable Sam’s Club lunch. And all three of my kids love to snack on Veggie Straws. You are right about “it just happens”. You just take things as they come along and it feels like normal life.
You are a definite inspiration! I only have one one -year-old and feel overwhelmed! Way to go!
Such a great post! Looks like it is a busy day with three. I only have one and it could get pretty hairy so I could only imagine three!
Sounds like a busy day(as they all are!). My youngest loves going to Sam’s for lunch.
I only have two kiddos and I am amazed at all you get done! I am jealous of your basement – I wish we had one that I could use as a playroom/office to keep the kids occupied while I worked.
Our days are very similar! I love how cheap it is to eat at SAMs, too…but we haven’t done it in a while.
Your family is so adorable! I love your day in pictures especially iced coffee. Yum!
Looks like a jam-packed day, but a great way to document it with all the photos. My son is obsessed with Skylanders too!
I always have to chuckle when I hear people say that stay at home moms and bloggers do nothing all day. They have no clue!
Wow your typical day is busy! I I like the Skylanders desk!
It’s a wonderful life! Being a mom, your day is full…..all day.
Wow, that is one heck of a day! Love the idea of sharing a day in pictures, that is so cool! I also love some iced coffee to get me through the day.. and that Sbux Bistro Box looks amazing!
You definitely keep a busy daily schedule. I know all about that myself,
raising 4 kids on my own. 2 are gone, 2 still at home, but a grandson to help raise too. But I sure don’t know what it’s like to have twins and try and work from home with no sitter.
Holy Cow! I am exhausted just reading about your day! As fun as toddlers are, I am so happy mine are a bit bigger now. Mine used to swipe the dog food too. I would hear crunch, crunch, crunch and just knew what her snack of choice was. Yuck! lol
Wow! Your day was so busy… and looked like so much fun!
I can relate to your day SO much! But man lady, you gotta center your camera a bit better! LOL.
Busy, busy day! I can relate! We are always on the run. I am on the fence about my new phone and I have been hearing so much about the Note 3.
What a great post! I really enjoyed reading about your day. The life of a mom is always so hectic. Good tip about buying fruit at Sam’s. We go through it super fast as well.
Sounds like you are a busy momma like I am LOL. I love Starbucks Bistro boxes, they are a great on the go lunch.
Being a mom is no joke!! LOL! You captured some excellent shots this week π

I love that he draws his Skylanders. My son is obsessed with the game. Did you know they are coming out with ANOTHER one this year?!?
You forgot one photo…a long bath in Calgon after that busy day with three small children. After a trip to Sam’s we all need one.
I always like to read a day in the life posts! I never know how some moms do it with more than one kiddo. I have an 18 month old and some days I struggle. π Cute pics though!
Your day exhausts me! I’m sure it’s all routine for you at this point, but holy wow! The phone captured beautiful snapshots.
Those are great pictures! I woke up this morning with a stuffed puppy and army men in the bed. π
I’m exhausted just looking at your day lol. My daughter wear me out. I can’t imagine 3. π
With 3 I would have to fit a nap in there somewhere. haha! I just have 1 6 year old and most days I am like is it bedtime yet. lol
Whew I’m tired just reading that. I’d love to trade my iphone in for an S4~
Looks like a busy day! I love this real life look into the mom life!
