The new school year has started and the other day, I sat down with our BIG family calendar that hangs in our kitchen to fill in the next few months with all of our upcoming activities. Hours later {well, it seemed like hours!}, I had our calendar filled up through January and I couldn’t believe how busy we were going to be. I’m on the board of our parent teacher group at my son’s school so there’s always meetings and activities to plan. Add in after-school activities, weekend events, doctor’s appointments and we are one busy family!
Honestly though, when I envisioned my life years ago, I always wanted to have a family with a busy and chaotic life. I guess I never thought about those things about a clean house or how to get dinner on the table. Dinner either seems to be something that I thought in advance and would put in the crock pot or me frantically stopping at the store after school pickup and figuring out what to make.

{Side Note about the Cafe at Sam’s Club. We love it so much that during our 12 hour road trip to Florida, we stopped at the Cafe for our lunch! The kids got to stretch their feet and we got to enjoy a delicious and cheap meal!}
I popped into Sam’s Club when it was just one of those busy days, headed straight for the Cafe and told them I wanted the Family Pizza Combo. After waiting a few minutes, they called my name and had everything waiting in a bag for me, plus the pizza box.
I headed home with everything I needed for dinner and had it on the table within minutes. I had one very happy family!
There are nights when I’m not home for dinner and nights when my husband works late and he’s not home for dinner. So when we can all be home together and sitting at the dinner table, we put away the phones and pull out these Family Dinner Questions.
It’s hard to just ask my 7 year old how his day was, so I like asking these fun questions that get the whole family talking. Plus, Hayden has said that he loves hearing answers from my husband and I.

What a great deal this is and so perfect when you are running short on time. It would be nice if Costco did something like this since we do not have a Sam’s Club here.
