Lunch time!
Lunch was back at Citroco’s and I was lucky enough to sit with @CarrieWChildren, @Kimmoldofsky and @LoriShewbridge.
Lunch was delicious of course and I wish I would have gotten a picture of what we had eaten!
We had a little bit of time before we had to be back at the conference so I headed out to find what Heath and Hayden were doing. They were at the gorgeous pool swimming! I was so jealous because they were having a lot of fun!
I headed back to where the conference was being held and to my surprise Duffy was there!
Duffy was embarrassed, but he showed me his backside!
I look a like a smiling fool here but here’s Amanda (@DisneyGoToGirl) and me with Duffy!
Who is Duffy?
Duffy is Mickey’s teddy bear, made by Minnie with love!
When we walked into the conference and back to our seats we were excited to see that we had our very own Duffy bears waiting for us! I knew Hayden was going to love it!
We were then greeted by the Star Wars theme music and Princess Leia Minnie!
My husband was disappointed that Star Tours was closed down and in rehab but I was happy to report back to him that it would be opening back up in May and will be better than ever!
Next up was Chris Brogan, who I was so excited to listen to. I had heard that he had rocked it last year. And he definitely didn’t disappoint!
Chris Brogan started off by telling us to ask ourselves WHY. Asking ourselves WHY can stop us from doing dumb things.
Have you ever worked in customer service? Well, you are now! Marketing, Sales, Customer Service…that is what bloggers are doing.
Chris believe is email marketing. Everyone checks their emails right?
Then he talked about CRAP.
C is for Connections. Work on networking everyday.
R is for Referrals. Ask for referrals and offer them.
A is for Attention/Awareness. Pay attention! Be aware of opportunities!
P is for Presence. Be present. Be everywhere. Always have content.
How often should you blog? Well, how much attention do you want? Post twice a day and get twice the traffic!
Are you using WordPress? Then make sure you implement the WP Touch Plugin.

Don’t have a lot of social sharing buttons on your site. Pick one or two. All you really need is Facebook and Twitter buttons on your post.
It was amazing listening to him and I didn’t even begin to cover everything he shared!
Make sure to check Chris out at ChrisBrogan.com and follow him on Twitter at @chrisbrogan.
After listening to Chris Brogan speak, we all needed a drink! Just kidding!
We were all treated to champagne!
Here I am with one of my best blogging buddies, @CarrieWChildren!
We were then in for a treat because we got to listen to Susan Egan and Georgia Stitt perform.
Susan Egan is a Tony nominated Broadway actress. She also was the voice of Meg in the Disney movie Hercules, which is one of my favorite movies! (Although, I’m starting to think any Disney movie is one of my favorite movies!)
Georgia Stitt is a composer and singer. She has been involved in so much, from vocal coach of America’s Got Talent to being a music director for concerts.
We listened to them perform several songs including “Defying Gravity” from Wicked and “I Won’t Say I’m in Love” from Hercules.
It was amazing listening to them and a perfect end to the conference. The day went by way too fast and I know I’m leaving out a lot.
If you have ANY question please feel free to ask! I have lots of notes from the day and would be happy to share!
Coming up in the next post!
Disney Junior Dance Party and some exciting Disney Junior news!

Disclosure: I attended the Disney Social Media Moms Conference at a deeply discounted rate. As part of the discounted rate I received park tickets, hotel stay, access to events and Swag not available to the public. We were not asked or required to write about our experience at the conference. All opinions are 100% mine!
I had so much fun and I love Duffy! I can’t wait to see you in July for Midwest Media Moms 😀
I know! I’m so excited to see you again! 😉
Thanks for the reminder about the social sharing links… I need to get those added to my site, but I keep getting distracted by shiny objects! I keep trying to remind myself of something else Chris Brogan said, “close all those tabs!”
🙂
I am the SAME way. And it’s so bad, when I’m writing a post I think it takes me twice as long because I have so many other tabs open!
ahhh SO fun! Sounds like you learned some great things at the conference and the pool sure looked fun too 🙂 can’t wait to hear more about the trip!
It definitely was amazing! I have lots more to post! 😉
Looks like a wonderful time! I’ll have to read through your posts for tips and information – I am attending this year! It is actually my first ever blogging event since I’m usually tied up with work during conferences.
It was such a wonderful time! You are going to have such an amazing time, so excited for you!
