Recently I was offered the chance to review a product where I would have desserts delivered to my door (Diet? What Diet?) and I knew I couldn’t pass it up. Every week, I receiving delicious desserts delivered that were so simple to make! Have you heard of this fabulous company? If not, read on.
Doorstep Desserts is a dessert subscription service where you, the consumer, can have delicious pre-portioned ingredients (along with a recipe card) sent to you on either a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.
I received a few different desserts to try out but I let the psudo-teenager pick which ones she wanted to do, and like a true dessert lover she picked the heart shaped cake pops and the red velvet cakepops.
What I love about Doorstep Desserts (aside from getting sugar delivered to my door) is the ease and simplicity of the kits. Lately, my daughter Cecelia has been watching a TON of YouTube videos on baking (apparently YouTube is a thing with kiddos) and is always wanting to bake something. The kits we received were so easy she could have probably done them by herself with minimal help (she did as far as the icing goes, as you can see :/)
Total, I would say that it took us 30-45 minutes TOPS to make both of these delicious recipes which is perfect for quick last minute desserts that are needed (dessert is ALWAYS needed). My favorite were the red velvet cakeballs. They were so fluffy and moist (terrible word) that it was hard to keep the kiddos me away from them.
Cecelia and Cooper both loved the chocolate covered heart shaped cakepops (and these kids are hard to impress).
The wonderful crew at Doorstep Desserts has so graciously offered the readers at SippyCup Mom a coupon code off your first kit! Head on over to Doorstep Desserts and enter code blog504 at checkout!
And if that isn’t great enough, they’re also giving you a chance to win a full month of weekly kits for one lucky reader as well as a chance to win a one month bi-weekly shipment to a lucky reader as well!
