It’s long been on my Bucket List to visit Europe. My husband and I toyed with the idea before we got married and then got distracted and went to Disney World instead. While we probably won’t be visiting Europe while our kids are young, I am hoping to do it once they all are out of the house so it can be a fun trip just for me and my husband.
A few places that I really want to visit are Germany, Italy and France. My husband lived in Germany for a bit during high school and he has great memories from it. I have been been having fun lately exploring the Expedia Passion Maps – which is an exploration of the romantic and risqué in some of the most famous cities in Europe.
I had no idea a lot of these places existed so I definitely want to visit! Below are my top 3 places I want to visit that are on the Expedia Passion Maps.
The Gardens of Schloss Charlottenburg in Germany
This place looks so romantic. It’s filled with lush plants and flowers and was built by King Friedrich I for his Queen, Sophie Charlotte, shortly before her death in 1705. It would be a great place to stroll with my husband.
Gondola Ride through Venice
I’ve seen it in movies and I’ve read about it in books but I still would love to enjoy a romantic gondola ride through the Venice canals. Italy has long been on the top of the places I want to visit and this would be one of the first things I’d do on a romantic trip!
Dan Le Noir Restaurant
At the Dan Le Noir restaurant in France, you dine in complete darkness for the ultimate sensory experience. Blind waiters also guide you through the night’s obscured events. I would be interested to see if there are any places in the United States that offer this experience – I discovered quite a few places in Europe that do on the Expedia Passion Map!

europe in general seems so romantic, between the eiffel tower in paris, the beaches, the beauitful buildings, sunflowers in tuscany, heather fields of scotland, the green if ireland. I want to go to them all.
