Last weekend I had the chance to attend another fun event that Macy’s was hosting. This time, Celebrity Stylist Lloyd Boston was hosting a fashion show showing off Fall’s Five Fashion Essentials! I had a fantastic time learning about the trends and seeing how I could dress up certain styles.
Fall’s Five Fashion Essentials
Military Jacket Β – but with a modern and feminine fit! Lloyd thinks everyone should have both a day and evening coat and one of these would be perfect.
Embellished Dresses – Add tights or knee high boots. Make it your own with a belt!
Moto Jacket – Lloyd also suggests not being “matchy matchy” anymore. Don’t be afraid to mix up colors!
Patterned Sweater – Get sweaters that fit! No more boxy and big sweaters.
Oversized Cardigans –Β Unlike the Patterned Sweaters, this is okay to be big! You can belt it since it’s not over the head.
Lloyd’s last piece of advice? DO NOT show up in traditional red and green colors for the holidays. Dress up in silver, gold and maybe ice blue!

I do like the sweaters I am a lover of sweaters. I am a lover of knee high boots too I thin I wear it out way too much.
I love sweaters too but haven’t thought about getting any that are patterned. I need a pair of good boots!

The only one I have so far is the oversized sweater but I like them all. I need to go shopping!
I’ve always been a fan of loose and roomy sweaters, I don’t feel comfortable in most “form-fitting” things.

The sweaters are a hit with me – though I do like the jean jacket with the skirt. Classy, but fun.

I’m a big fan of the oversized cardigans, they always make me feel so warm and comfy!
I like my sweaters rather loose as I like to layer them over other things. Though they do fit pretty well when they are layered.
I am not a fan of layering but do enjoy the looks of these outfits!
OMG do NOT show up to holidays in red and green… that should be a rule EVERYONE knows lol.

I have been eying the Red and black Michael Kors dress!!! I love the gold studs, it is so sassy in person. I thinnk I am gonna have to bite the bullet and buy it THEN find some fun event to go to so I can wear it. π

I am in LOVE with those dresses! The purple one is stunning! I am also admiring those military jackets.
I think my least favorite of the Five Fashion Essentials was the oversized cardigan – that one is horrible. I don’t think it is very flattering to the model’s beautiful shape. It reminds me of a throw blanket.
I will keep remember to stray away from the red and green and reach for the Iced Blue π

I like all of the Five Fall fashions especially the cardigans because they keep me so warm. I also like the Patterned sweaters because I am all about keeping warm but with style!
