Life can be busy – crazy hectic. There are some days where I’m up at 6am and I just don’t stop  at all. My days are filled with trying to get some work done, running errands, homework time with my 6 year old and two cute little babies who are a little attached to their Mama right now. Most days, as soon as my husband walks though the door from work, I leave the kids with him and head to the kitchen where I can have some peace and quiet while I make dinner.

When our twins were first born last year, dinner was whatever one of could grab from the fridge and would sometimes be at 9pm. A lot of times I’d fix my son something to eat and sit with him while holding one baby. Now that they are older, I make sure that we all sit down at the table for dinner as a family. I think it’s important to show our children that at least once a day we need to sit down as a family and focus on each other – no phones! We go around the table and each person tells everyone about their day. It’s something that my 6 year old absolutely loves doing and he even makes up what his 1 year old sisters did during the day.

As I mentioned, my days can be busy and while I like the “me time” that cooking in the kitchen can give me, I don’t have time to be in there for hours making dinner. I like something fast and delicious. At least once a week, we have pasta night featuring our favorite sauce – Ragú!
