iHome Kitchen Timer and FM Clock Radio Speaker System for iPhone/iPod Review

At my house, the kitchen is my workspace. I keep my laptop at our kitchen table so I spend a lot of time there. If I want to listen to music, I open iTunes on my laptop, but my speakers aren’t that good. And I can’t listen to Pandora on my phone, because my iPhone speakers just aren’t that loud.

I was thrilled when I was given the chance to review the iHome iP39 Kitchen Timer and FM Alarm Clock Radio Speaker System for the iPhone or iPod.

I have been a huge fan of the iHome brand for years now. Back when I worked in retail, so many customers would ask about the best speakers for their iPods (waaaay back before the iPhone even existed!) and I would always recommend the iPhone brand. When you would listen to the comparison between the iHome speakers and others, the iHome always sounded better.

I love the iHome iP39 because it fits great with the décor of my kitchen. In fact, it blends in perfectly!

There are so many fantastic features!

Have you ever received a new clock and struggled to set up the time? I know I have! With the iHome iP39 you don’t have to worry about that! Simply put your iPhone or iPod on the connector and select the Sync button and within seconds the clock is synced with the correct date and time.

The iHome iP39 is perfect for cooking. It has two timers so it’s perfect for the cook that is multi-tasking.

The speakers are high quality and I can dock my phone into the retractable universal dock and listen to my music from all over the house.

It’s perfect for listening to music, podcasts or following that recipe while cooking in the kitchen. There is also an FM radio if you prefer to listen to your favorite radio stations.

 

Some other great features are:

– Large back-lit LCD screen! This is perfect for when you stumble into the kitchen in the middle of the night for a drink of water and you need a little light and the time!

– USB Charging Port! Charge your phone, Kindle or any other item through the USB port.

– Daylight Savings Time Switch! No worries about having to remember to set the clock forward or back!

 

The iHome iP39 also comes with a remote! I love being able to sit at my kitchen table and control the system without even getting up. The side of the iHome is magnetic so you can store the remote on the side.

 

 

 

I can honestly say I don’t know how I was living without my iHome iP39 in my kitchen!

    I watched the vid and wow it has so many features! I like the fact that it has a remote, I like to play my music loud and often am away from the player when the phone rings.     We listen to music while we are cooking, crafting, cleaning, etc. It’s a nice way to keep us moving! My ipod is great but not really loud enough for the house and my battery drains quickly. We would LOVE to win this and be able to listen to our music and the radio.
