With only a few weeks left until our little girl arrives, we have been busy getting the nursery together. It’s very slowly coming along, but I know it will be complete by the time baby makes her grand arrival.
My husband and I were so excited to review the Fisher Price Kingsport Covertible Crib. Once I saw the picture of the crib I immediately fell in love. It’s just beautiful and seems perfect for our little girl!
It came packaged quite perfectly and I sent my husband straight to work. Our dog was so interested in what was going on so he hung out and watched.
We actually timed how long it took my husband from start to finish—58 minutes (Including a trip to Target for a crib mattress, LOL!). The instructions were very clear and thorough. The crib pieces even had special stickers that said “bottom left” or “inside bottom” which were really helpful!
My favorite feature of the crib is the adjustable mattress platform. For the first few months we’ll keep the mattress at the highest setting, and move it down as baby girl becomes more mobile. It doesn’t require any real thought—just take the mattress out and screw the platform on the next set of holes. Dummy proof.
Besides the adjustable mattress platform, I was so excited that this is a convertible crib. Being a first time mom, I kind of assumed all cribs were the same. This is not the case at all! Technically, this crib can last us many years until our baby girl is no longer a baby. It becomes a toddler bed, then a day bed, and the back of the crib is actually used as a full-size headboard. Talk about a money saver.
The Fisher Price Kingsport Convertible Crib is available at Walmart for only $219. The only items not included in the box are a crib mattress, the guardrail to make the crib a toddler bed, and the frame for the full-size bed. All are available at Walmart for a reasonable price.
There are so many things that I worry about as a first time mom—I’m just thankful that a crib isn’t one of them! We know at night she’ll be safely snug as a bug in her crib that’s fit for a princess! All we need now is to choose a beautiful crib bedding for that wonderful sleep time.

What a great crib! If I could go back, I’d get a convertible – we loved the crib that we picked but once my girls outgrew it… into storage it went. You’ll be able to use this all the way until your little girl grows up!!
