First Year in a Flash: Creating a Design Board

Welcome to the first in a long term monthly blog post. I want to take you through a few steps that I go through when planning one of my daughter’s birthday parties. But instead of highlighting one of my daughter’s parties right now I am going to highlight a First Birthday Party I helped create and put together through my work (you can find out about my work on the About Us page).

We were contacted from a past client to help design and layout her daughter’s first birthday party. She actually came to us with the theme and colors but we still needed to put together a design board. She found the theme on the blog Hostess with the Mostess but she wanted to change the colors to yellow and pink. The theme of the party is First Year in a Flash. Here is the design board I came up with the help of the client.



 To create your own design board all you need to do is use Paint on your computer (PC) and paste your idea pictures on there. You can add the color ideas by making circles or squares in the desired color.  Another great place to start your party design ideas is on Pinterest.
