I can hardly believe that summer is almost over and school is ready to start. In just a few short weeks, I’ll have a second grader {sob}! The next few weeks are crazy busy for us as I get him ready for school and also gear up for our Meet the Teacher evening at his school. As the Activities Director for our school’s Parent Teacher Group, I help to organize the event for over 700 students! Add in the fact that I’m also having surgery the week before school starts which means I’ve got a lot to get done!
Since I want to be prepared and ready for that first day of school, I’m trying to do as much shopping and preparation done now. That means I’ve made my list and I headed to Walmart to get Hayden’s back to school items and also stock up our pantry. Hayden always brings his lunch to school which means I better get my game on again plus there’s just something about going back to school that makes him starving when he gets home! Gotta stock up!
I love that when I got to Walmart with my kids it’s a one-stop shop. I mean, we even get our oil changes done here! No more going from store to store, I get it all done here. After a quick stop for Hayden to just “look” at the toys, we headed over to grocery to get some staples – which includes Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers!
I’ve always bought the smaller packages of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers but after going through several of them a week, I’ve learned that buying in bulk is best! When you’ve got three kids to feed, I love having this big container in my pantry!
But of course, I let Hayden grab his favorite little bag to snack on too! He loves to keep a small bag in the car or in my purse.
But I’ve discovered something even better! These 20 count variety packs at Walmart are perfect for the car, my purse but especially lunch boxes! I can’t wait to include these little bags in his lunchbox for school.
Another important must for lunch boxes? Wet Ones! My 7 year old says he washes his hands before and after lunch, but c’mon, he’s 7! So to make sure this year, I’m including Wet Ones in his lunch box! They come in a canister which is what I usually keep in my car, but they also come in individual packets! Found in the Health & Beauty section at Walmart, I grabbed a box of Wet Ones® Fresh Scent Singles that will be perfect for school!
With Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Crackers and Wet Ones® Fresh Scent Singles, I’m ready for back to school now!
