I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for OxiClean. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and promotional item as a thank you for participating.
School has started for some kids and is around the corner for the rest! We have a week left before ours go back. The backpacks are back to their original “school year” positions: hanging on the coat rack. The lunch boxes and thermoses are on the counter ready to fill the next morning. A fun, new outfit hanging, washed and ready to go carefully chosen and hanging in the closet.
One of my favorite memories of this summer is coming home from the grocery store. I found my three kids romping around the backyard with my husband. They were covered in a rainbow of colors. Brightly colored popsicles dripping from their faces down onto their brand new cotton dresses. Oh no! What to do??
My kids are also notorious for coming home with grass stains, dirt and other miscellaneous stains. And I have to admit every once in a while, coffee and wine also end up on fabrics in very visible spots!
We have been using OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover in our house for a few weeks now. It is free from Chlorine, and has over 101 uses. It’s Oxygen based and gentle. You can add it to every load. It is better at removing stains and allows color to be brighter and whites to be whiter. This last one was especially important on the white sundress/popsicle day!
In fabrics, OxiClean Stain Remover can be used to pretreat stains by soaking or adding directly to the wash load.
So back to the coffee and wine stains… they were no match for OxiClean Stain Remover! They came out the soft surface of our microfiber couches and a few drops of coffee unfortunately found their way to the decorative cotton pillows. A bit of light scrubbing and they were gone.
You can use OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover on hard surfaces like grout and patio furniture. There was some sort of large juice stain in carpet of our living room. Two spot cleanings and it was (thankfully) gone! No lugging out the carpet shampooer.
Our family decided to do a case study using a few of our most spilled liquids: coffee, ketchup and grape juice.
And poof! After a four hour soak, the towel came out clean:
A little dirt on the corner of the towel completed the line up:
And OxiClean Stain Remover took out the dirt just as easy as the rest. It left the fabric soft and stain-free:
The towel came out looking almost brand new! No signs of any of the stains.
Over the course of the time we used the OxiClean Stain Remover, I noticed that the brights came out just as bright. And the darks didn’t fade.
I have a few more spots to tackle on our carpet and I plan on using it in my weekly cleaning routine-to see how it measures up on grout!
I plan to do my spring cleaning two seasons later when the kids go back to school. I now know an easy was to spot clean carpets and furniture, keep your kid’s school clothes bright and fresh looking, and so many other jobs!
Did you know that Oxiclean Stain Remover was so versatile? Have you used it around your house? If not, try it on something and let me know what you think!
I have never tried Oxiclean before but I am notorious for getting stains on my own clothes, I will have to try this.
My daughter works in a restaurant so lots and lots of food stains. She will not do her laundry without using this. She loves it
I haven’t tried this yet, but I’m looking forward to! My girls get stains on everything, and I’ve yet to find something that works great!
My boys constantly stain their jeans with grass stains so I am going to have to check this out.
OxyClean is the best stain remover that I have used. I also have the spray on stain remover and it gets any stains out fast! This is a product that I will continue to use!
When I read the first part of your review, I was wondering how come the kids get coffee and wine? Oh, the *couch* got them. Haven’t tried this yet.
We have been using this at my job. I do linen at a condominium. We love how white everything is and the stains are coming out that have been there for a long time.
I love OxyClean. It really works and gets out the stains. I use all white linens and they look wonderful after every wash
I like the before and after pictures you posted to show how well it works.
With a 10 yr old boy and a little grandson their are plenty of stains to deal with in this house. I will have to give this a try.
I could really use this for all the stubborn stains my son makes on his clothes.
