A few months before the twins were scheduled to be born, I started going on a cleaning frenzy. I’m sure it was my nesting kicking in extra early since there were TWO babies in there, but I wanted the house organized and clean. I threw away a bunch of stuff and stocked up on cleaning supplies and storage tubs. Then, about a week before the twins came, my Grandparents asked if there was anything I wanted and I eagerly told them I would love for a professional cleaning service to come to our house while I was in the hospital. The house was going to be all ready for these two little ones when they arrived!
When we came home from the hospital, the house was sparkling clean and I loved it! But with newborn twins, a 5 year old boy and a dog, the house sure didn’t stay clean. And sure enough, it’s been hard to KEEP it clean the past year. In fact, I’ve been thinking of buying this sign and hanging it in our living room as you walk in.
As a new parent, there’s this urge to get everything done yourself. Take care of the baby, cook meals, keep guests entertained and clean the house. When I had my first son, I was exactly like this. I wanted to handle everything myself I guess to prove I could do it. But new moms {and veteran moms!} I’m here to tell you – DON’T. Don’t try and do everything yourself – ask for help and don’t feel guilty about it!
While my house may not always be clean these days, I do help my kids stay clean thanks to . With my twins, it seems like I’m always changing diapers. Olivia has VERY sensitive skin and we have had many different doctor’s appointments talking about her skin and various diaper rashes she has had. The wipes that her doctor recommends is Pampers Sensitive Wipes, because it gives her a gentle clean. These clinically proven mild, dermatologist-tested, hypoallergenic, and perfume-free wipes won’t irritate her skin even further. I don’t just use Pampers Sensitive Wipes for a gentle clean during diaper changes, but they are also my go-to wipes for wiping messy faces – from my one year old twins to my 6 year old!
Right now, I’m in full-on Spring Cleaning mode! I am so glad to throw open the windows and get my cleaning on! I know how rough it can be to get your cleaning done with a newborn, so thanks to Pampers I was sent a gift card to put together a Spring Cleaning Basket for a friend who is due in a few weeks. I’m excited to give her the gift a gentle clean next week at her baby shower!
The Gift of a Gentle Clean for my friend who is a soon to be Mom includes Pampers Sensitive Wipes to get Baby M off to a right start, a $50 Cleaning Certificate to a local cleaning company and 2 different scents of Febreeze – so she can just ACT like the house is clean!
