I’ve talked about Potty Training Hayden before, and sure enough, we are still doing it.
I had no idea how hard this would be. Some days he is so eager to go on the “big boy potty” but most days he fights me.
A great resource in this whole potty training experience has been the Pull-Ups brand! We have loved checking out their website and Hayden loves the fact that the Pull-Ups he wears has his favorite Disney characters on them!
Something that we have been focusing on is rewards for going potty. Hayden loves the stickers and fruit snacks he gets, but now I have the ultimate reward to give him!
Target and Pull-ups have teamed up to help reward your big kid when they go potty!
You can schedule a FREE call from a Disney character to call your child and tell them they have done a great job at going potty! You can schedule a call ahead of time to have Cinderella or a character from Cars to call your big kid!
We went to Target to pick up some Big Kid Pull-Ups for Hayden. He loved picking out the Pull-Ups with Lightning McQueen on them!
For the little Princesses in the house, there are Pull-Ups featuring the Disney Princesses!
When we arrived home from Target, we got down to business!
I went online and scheduled a call for Hayden. You might think that I scheduled a call from a Cars character, but I actually chose Cinderella. Ever since meeting Cinderella at Disney World earlier this year, my little man has had a serious crush on her!
We had a happy dance after going potty and then I let Hayden know he was going to get a call from Cinderella!
He was so shy! But he loved her and as soon as I stopped taping, he asked for her to call again! I know this is going to be a great encouragement tool to get him to continue to go potty in his toilet.
You can have a Disney character call your child too!
Simply go online to https://www.bigkidcalls.com or https://www.bigkids.mobi on your mobile phone! There, you can choose which character you would like to call, which message you would like them to say and what time for them to call!
Target and Pull-Ups is giving one lucky reader a $25 Target Gift Card!
Good luck! This giveaway will end on June 25th!

I don’t have kids, so I’ll just say they get a reward of a house or a private jet or a pony or something. Sounds reasonable to me.

We use a daily chart and he receives a sticker for every time he goes without an accident. Every 10 stickers earns him a trip to the ‘gift box’ (various dollar store items) and if he goes through the whole week without an incident, a trip to the store for his favorite toy – legos! Great giveaway!

I made a deal with each of my kids for something really big if they started using the potty. For instance, my daughter wanted Strawberry Shortcake Bedding for her room so I told her she could have it if she didn’t wear diapers anymore. She had the new bedding set in 3 days! Maybe I just got lucky!

My oldest LOVED getting to call a grandma or his aunt after going potty to brag about it. It was fun for him to hear other people so excited about it (and they were awesome for being super excited @ 7am even though they were getting called about pee)
