Does your baby live up to its star sign?
For some having a baby is the most important thing in the world, nothing will prevent them from enjoying the pregnancy, the birth, and everything that follows it. For all of us the thought of bringing another person into this world can be daunting but we all realise that it can bring some exciting times, and if we enjoy taking the rough with the smooth! It doesn’t matter what your child is like, they will be the love of your life, even if they play up every now and again! But what if you believed in things like horoscopes? Would that put your child under more pressure? Could they ever live up to what you expect them to be from their star sign? It’s a strange situation which some people do find themselves in!
Are horoscopes important to you?
Do you think that horoscopes can play a part in your everyday life? A lot of people will pick up the paper in the morning, or log onto the Internet and read their daily horoscope, or perhaps they will check once a month to see what the psychic predicts. If you are a fervent follower of such things, then you will probably find that during your pregnancy you will end up checking your horoscope to make sure that the pregnancy is going to go to plan. But how about when your child is born? If you believe in horoscopes then there is no doubt that you will consider what they say about your child before you do anything. Whether this is the correct thing to do or not is certainly up for debate, but there is no doubt that some people will certainly look to the stars to help them make decisions surrounding their baby.
Matching your baby to their star sign?
Can your child live up to its star sign though? Imagine if it’s a Pisces that is happy go lucky, adventurous and outgoing? This is apparently the complete opposite of what a Pisces would be, but these three terms probably describe a lot of babies and toddlers. Putting your baby under pressure to match their star sign is probably something you don’t want to do, and is not particularly on your child. What if they were a Cancer and seem very loving and always on the move, something which most parents would expect from a baby or a toddler, but just because they are characteristics expected of a Cancerian would that ensure your faith in horoscopes? It’s a hard thing to judge, but it is important to remember that if you want to you can always pigeon hole people into certain characteristics to fit your beliefs. The most important thing to remember is that this is your child let them do things that make them happy!
Of course for most of us this isn’t a problem, we love our children for who they are. It is really important that we remember this, however much you believe in certain things. Letting children make their own decisions in life can be really important. You might like horoscopes, but who is to say that your baby will. They might love football, fancy getting involved in that?
lovehoroscope says
I think babies and toddlers are too young to really display any of their zodiac traits. A lot of these traits come out later in life when they’re settling down in life, finding love, starting a career and so on, cultivated through life experiences and fine-tuned by the stars! It’s fun to think about though, great post 🙂
