This is one of my favorite times of the year! I love all of the traditions that we have as a family – decorating gingerbread houses, baking cookies, visiting Santa, driving around to look at Christmas lights, shopping for my loved ones. But unfortunately, it’s also cold and flu season which means someone in my family gets sick this time of year.
In fact, it’s already happened! We went on a cruise a few weeks ago and had an amazing time. We completed paediatric first aid course then packed our first aid bag with all of the essentials in case someone would get sick but no one did. But the first day that we were home from our trip, it hit us – hard. I even ended up in the emergency room being diagnosed with influenza a while my husband and son got knocked down pretty hard too! It’s so bad that the school nurse sent a letter home saying how many kids have been sick!
When sick gets real, there are three items that I always make sure are in my medicine cabinet – Children’s Advil®, Children’s Robitussin® and Children’s Dimetapp®.
Ease those aches and pains, while reducing a child’s fever fast with Children’s Advil®, a great solution for kids as young as 2 and up to 11. Children’s Advil® comes in several great-tasting flavors, including: Sugar-free Dye-free Berry, Bubble Gum, Grape, Blue Raspberry, Fruit and Dye-Free White Grape flavors. There’s also Infants’ Advil® White Grape, which provides unsurpassed fever relief among OTC pain relievers with a syringe for easy dosing for children 6-23 months.
Formulated just for kids, Children’s Robitussin® DM Day/Night Pack (Children’s Robitussin® Cough & Chest Congestion and Children’s Robitussin® Nighttime Cough for ages 6+) non-drowsy daytime formula helps break up chest congestion, while the long-acting nighttime formula relieves coughs and runny noses to help kids get the rest they need.
All in a great tasting grape flavor, Children’s Dimetapp® Cold & Cough tackles a child’s most bothersome stuffy and runny noses, all while working to relieve cough, for ages 6+.
When my son got hit, I was up at the hospital still. Luckily, I was able to tell my mom to give him some Children’s Advil® to help with his sudden aches, headache and fever. He was then able to relax and fall back to sleep!
