Thank you to The Motherhood and Healthtex for sponsoring today’s post.
This year, I’ve made a resolution to save as much time and money as I can with also reducing stress. It’s a hard thing to do, but there’s been so many days that I’m running ragged with all of the stuff that I need to do and most nights I fall into bed exhausted and stressed, thinking of what I need to do the next day. I already feel a little bit better a few weeks into the new year because I’ve learned to let go of a lot. Here’s how I’ve vowed to save time, money and get rid of stress this year!
Say No
I’ve always been a yes person. I love to help out other people but between my family, my job {I blog and manage social media for other people} and the PTA board I’m on, it finally hit me over the holidays that I need to say no more often to save my sanity. I occasionally have felt guilty, but more times than not it just feels good! This has been saving me more TIME to spend with my family and on myself and less STRESS overall!
Menu Plan
Something that has really helped me over the past few months is menu planning. It can initially take a lot of time as you get used to it, but now I can breeze through it. I’ve been saving time and money at the grocery store because I go exactly off my list and don’t buy unnecessary grocery items! Knowing exactly what I’m making for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day? So much less stress now!
Give in to my Toddlers
No, I haven’t gone crazy. I’m less stressed now that I give in more to my toddlers. We used to fight over everything – what they would eat for meals, what they would wear each day, how I would brush their hair. Now, I give them choices on everything and they make the final decision, making them feel empowered. Even though Mama approves of BOTH choices, my threenagers feel better about themselves and the struggle hasn’t been as bad!
Shop at Walmart
I used to visit several stores to run all of my errands and get my shopping done. Now I just shop at Walmart and get everything done in one place. I get all of the groceries I need, get my oil changed, pick up diapers and wipes and even pick up stylish and affordable clothing for my kids!
Part of giving in to my toddlers is letting them pick their own clothing. I usually let them choose between two different outfits or even sometimes dig through their own drawers. I’ve picked up a ton of adorable outfits at Walmart from the Healthtex line of baby and toddler clothing.
You absolutely can’t beat buying a complete outfit – top and bottoms – for under $7. I even snagged some heavy winter jackets for only $9! Both Olivia and Evie love their comfy and cute clothing from Healthtex at Walmart.
Healtex clothing is perfect coordinated and makes it easy for kids to pick their own outfits. From play time outfits to dressier occasions, they have it all! I was even able to pick up some adorable outfits for Valentine’s Day – think sparkly and pink!

I love that I’m staying a bit more sane this year with the tips above and also saving time and money by shopping at Walmart – seriously, I love getting quality and affordable products all in one place!
What are some things you’re doing this year to save time and money? Do you have any tips for dealing with toddlers too?

There are so many great things at Walmart. I love that it is a one stop shop for me. I can pick up groceries (which I am so excited they are expanding their gluten-free section) and I can pick up household supplies if I need to. We are always heading to birthday parties for the kids friends so we can quickly pick up a gift. Certainly makes me keep my sanity with less running 🙂

Unfortunately we have no Walmart anywhere near us, I wish we did they always seem to have such great bargains/deals! I totally agree on saying ‘NO’ more often! 🙂

Goodness those are really adorable outfits! I love the selections at Walmart and I go to my local store all the time! I find awesome deals there that I did not think I could get for a steal of a price elsewhere! Children’s outfits are definitely one of them!

Oh my gosh your little girls are just adorable! I have learned the same thing with my almost 2 year old and 3 year old boys. It makes life a lot easier for sure. We recently moved and now we are very close to a Walmart. We do some shopping there, but the check outs are never open and we have to wait a long time for two registers that are, so we don’t really get groceries there. I do love shopping there for clothes for the kids, shoes and other random things. I only need a gallon of milk and a couple things I also toss those in the cart. I also love using the Ibotta app when I shop there and Shopkick. They are great for saving money!

I am not from the US but I do love shopping at Walmart through their website. They have great clothes selection and cheaper than most online stores! Most of my kids’ clothes are from Walmart 🙂
I wish one day I could shop at Walmart physical store 🙂

A lot of great tips here! I really recommend doing the meal plan since it really helps, especially if you’re feeding several people at home. Haha I don’t have kids yet but I do live in together with my boyfriend and he can eat quite a lot.
