Since last week, we have been so busy! I was seriously needing to stock up on some essentials, so after dropping Hayden off at school I headed to Walmart. Even though Hayden is only in school part-time, it’s so much easier to get my errands done now!
My husband was actually at home, so I wanted to make something delicious for lunch. Not just the plain old sandwiches we usually have!
When I got to Walmart, I realized that I had forgotten to make my list! I love having lists because sometimes I get a case of “Mommy-Brain” and forget what we need at home! Of course I happened to forget a few items!
I was on a mission to buy the new Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials! The Grilled Essentials are pre-cooked chicken breasts that come in a variety of flavors! For me, that means that cooking will be fast and easy – something a busy mom needs!
I found the Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials by the lunch meat and hot dogs. The bright packaging jumped out at me! It was also hard to decide which variety I would get.
You can choose from:
Grilled Chicken Breast
Italian Style Chicken Breast
Garlic & Herb Chicken Breast
Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast
I had a recipe in mind, so I made sure to pick up all of the other ingredients, in addition to a few other items. Make sure to check out my Google + album for my whole shopping trip!
In my head, I was craving a sandwich I usually get at a sandwich shop: a toasted Turkey, Bacon, Guacamole Sandwich. I thought it would be delicious with a chicken breast!
Chicken, Bacon and Guacamole Toasted Sandwich
Ingredients:
Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials Chicken Breast
Mozzarella Cheese
Yellow Onion
Tomato
Turkey Bacon
Lettuce
Ranch Dressing
Guacamole
Ciabatta Bread
One of my favorite things about the Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials? Each chicken breast is only 120 calories and 98% fat free! With no preservatives and the fact that it’s ready in 60 seconds, this is my kinda meal!
It’s so easy to cook! The chicken comes sealed in a bag and make sure to keep it in the bag while microwaving!
I assembled my sandwich all together, stopping to microwave my bacon. Since the chicken is so easy to prepare, I wanted to make sure this was a sandwich that was quick to make! I couldn’t wait to try it!
I was going to bake the sandwich, but decided to toast it in our toaster over. After about 8 minutes, it was ready!
The sandwich was so delicious and so easy to make! It was so much better than having a plain sandwich.
For this sandwich, I ended up purchasing the plain grilled chicken breast, but I can’t wait to try the other flavors. The Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials Lemon Pepper Chicken would be delicious cut up into some pasta! That is next on my list to make!
This was definitely a hit for my husband and I and the possibilities for other recipes are running through my mind! After all, now that it only takes 60 seconds to cook, I have so much more time!

ok – now I am hungry! Great sandwhich!
This looks delicious! I actually have some Grilled Essentials chicken in the fridge right now! I should make a sandwich for lunch tomorrow!
Looks great and easy to make. Much better than the stuff I normally eat for lunch.
Ooh that looks yummy!
